IS this the guy they get to take over for Lafell? Dobson will be staying 1 more year. 1 more shot to get it right. Lafell i am not so sure of. If he can put last year behind him and go all 2014 again. Do we really need Sanu?

Replace one guy who can't catch and can't separate with another guy who can't catch and can't separate? Versatile guy but definitely not as a #2.

Sanu and Kearse are fresh faces but I don't know if they'd be a noticeable improvement over LaFell, who I'd hope would look a bit better next year with a full off-season of rest for that foot, which may have been bothering him still.

LaFell's 2015 numbers are better than Sanu's despite playing less. Both had 0 TDs by the way.

Lafell's 2014 numbers are significantly better than any year from Kearse or Sanu.

I know stats don't tell the whole story, but I don't think either of them have huge upside. Except for Marvin Jones, who may unfortunately cost a bit too much.

Was thinking exactly that, what's the point of replacing LaFell with another big slow receiver?

There is a much higher chance of the 2016 Lafell being the 2014 Lafell than any of the free agents on the market. Plus, whatever they save by cutting Lafell, they'll pay more to sign one of the guys. How quickly we forget how good Lafell was in 2014. That's rare for free agent receivers in New England. Now healthier, keeping Lafell is the best bet to get that production back. Guys like sanu and others are more likely to go the ochocinco, Galloway, etc route.

I would rather Kearse than Sanu but thats just me.

Lafell doesn't separate well enough for me. I'd definitely take a look at some of the intelligent possession receivers in Free Agency.

Would take Rueben Randle before Sanu or Kearse.

I like Randle, mainly from a Patriots-fit point of view. Randle has played with Eli and can hopefully handle a vaguely complex offense.

I would definitely bring Sanu in for a full-on workout, and try to figure out what level of complexity he can handle. I like his size and route-running, but I really don't understand why his 2015 season was so bad. Might be an opportunity to buy low, though.

2014: 54 catches, 790 yards, 5 TDs
2015: 33 catches, 394 yards, 0 TDs

Kearse is another James Jones - excellent with Wilson/Rodgers, best off staying where he is, probably won't. Give it a couple of years and he'll be back in Seattle.

No, thanks

I rather we go after Kearse than Sanu!

That's an AK. Is this Patriot a Russian? That's no good.

the pats need a guy that can consistently get 4 rec for 40 yards a game on the outside that dose not sound like a lot but that 2 or 3 first downs a game and thats what they got with Lafell a year ago,

maybe its just me but i think Keshawn Martin could become that guy
