Nonsensical response. If they were balls to the wall for HFA I would not have held either out. Their STRATEGY for that game was stupid and still makes no sense, even if neither Brady or Gronk had been injured.... But they BOTH were.. ****ing stupidBB has a standing offer; that if you know the play a person will get hurt. He's willing to pull the player.
The Gronk re-injury in week 17, even though he was basically a decoy/blocker is new "water" so it needs a little time to go under the bridge, and some new fresh venting from me sorry.Agreed but it's water under the bridge. Onto KC. Go Pats!!
lol. The irony though is that even though technically I am applyint "hindsight" the strategy used in week 17 is very easily recognized as extremely stupid, and an utter failure on BB's part. Easily the dumbest thing he has done as a coach at NE that I can think of him doing.

No, your argument is DOA via pure hindsight. BB had what he figured was a valid plan going into that game where he would rest certain injured players and play other lesser-injured players, idea being that he could accomplish both immediate goals -- secure HFA while also preserving key personnel for the playoffs who otherwise would be at serious risk vs. Miami. Gronk and Brady HAD to play for the plan to succeed. It didn't succeed, but you can't say it wasn't a solid concept going in. Sometimes, the best-laid plans fail.lol.
