Actually, it has gotten worse. Furthermore, this particular strain/outbreak oftentimes manifests as bruising around the eyes, mouth, or ears...

They took it from a tweet from this guy. Who didn't mention once in this tweet that it was in the locker room interview portion of the day. Corrected himself later by saying it was in locker room and got on how Patriots fans are touchy today.

Just to clarify what happened....

They had a source (Erik Frenz):

There was no sighting of either Rob Gronkowski or Chandler Jones today. Gronkowski is scheduled to talk tomorrow.

The problem is that they didn't look at the context of the twitter feed and/or that the context didn't stand out enough for them to understand what was happening:

Bill Belichick walked through the locker room with a pair of boxing gloves. Huh.

Frenz is saying that neither Gronk nor Jones were seen in the locker room, though his tweet is not clear. Rotoworld misunderstood the tweet, for one reason or another. I certainly would agree that they were sloppy, especially given that the Patriots apparently hadn't begun practice yet at the time of the tweet.

Th media as a whole, especially most Boston guys are terrible at their jobs. Just flat out terrible. They have zero understanding of today's environment where context means everything. One misquote and all hell breaks loose. I think only a handful of local reporters should keep their jobs. The rest can go.

He just needed to be more clear in his tweet. Yes roto should have scrolled back a few to see he was in locker room. But the reporter also should make it clear in a tweet like that, that he was clearly talking about locker room. Because half hour later reporters are taking pictures showing Gronk and Jones at practice doesn't look good for this reporter.

someone is trying to make this a story, just like they covered up/blew off the peyton story
