At first I was like...

Then I was like...

And now I am like...

So they extended the HC who drew up this play?

First reaction to the extension was, "Maybe coaching continuity is something they've come to appreciate at Indy, and Pagano isn't as bad as it has appeared."

Then I saw this again, and thought, "There's just no room for that logic."

Did anyone ever figure out the original intention of this play?

The ball wasn't supposed to be snapped. I think they were trying to draw the Patriots offside...which would have resulted in off-set penalties anyway because the Colts don't have enough players on the LOS. Either that or make the Pats burn a timeout.

There's no explanation for the play that makes any sense really.

What? I thought he was getting canned.

I thought he passed away around Thanksgiving from a gangrenous splinter infection? A common adverse effect from "chopping that wood" while he kept "swinging that axe."
What a dork.

If you have complete ineptitude, how can you have "coaching continuity".. isn't that some sort of oxymoron???

Perhaps it would be better phrased as, "Coaching Ineptitude"????

Pagano is 41-23 in four seasons with Andrew Luck as his QB, and always in the picture for a playoff spot until the last game of the regular season. He's not the problem there. The players are uniformly behind him It's not the Eagles or Dolphins.

Grigson is a surprise, however. He needs to look critically at how they use the draft and free agency.

Besides, Belichick-Pagano is a mismatch. I wish Pagano a long and prosperous career in Indianapolis.

He's not great but, he's won a few playoff games. Many more than a lot of HC who have been around a long time. Deserves a bit longer for sure.

I think it was Chuck's epic locker room speech that won the day! (Remember how he was blubbering about the comeback win AGAINST TENNESSEE!)

When reached for comment, Andrew indicated "he was mighty salty about it!"

This is outstanding. I have as much confidence in Pagano and Grigson collaborating as Trump and Obama have a pleasant round of golf.

If I am a Colts fan, I am starting to scout college WRs to figure out who Grigson will take in the first round.

I want to see Grigson suffer, but he is one of the worst GMs in the league and the Colts will suffer with him at the helm. He has made a handful of good draft picks, but does he deserve credit for him. Luck was a no brainer. Word is Ty Hilton, Dwayne Alle, and Colby Fleener were reportedly pushed by Bruce Arians. The only goo draft pick he has made is arguably Donte Moncrief.

What?? Norv Turner and Mike Tannenbaum weren't available??

Not a problem at all. One can have continuity of ineptitude. One term speaks to time, the other to competence.
