I wouldn't necessarily call the positive patties homers. They're the type of people that always see the positives in whatever negative is thrown at them. Nothing wrong with that, it's a good trait. If their team loses, they say, "well they gave it their best shot. You got to be proud of that." or," There's always next year." I have no problem with the power of positive thinking. It works but you can't use that line of thinking when conducting a critical analysis of a subject because the possibility of skewing actual truth is sky high. It's almost like a lie for the sake of being positive which seems to be pervasive in this day and age.
Then you got guys like me, if it's junk, it's junk. If it sucks, it sucks BUT if it's great, it's GREAT. I call it as I see it but I can also be positive. See the difference is i'm open to negative AND positive assertions whereas the positive patties are locked into just being positive. I'm more inclined to say it's guys like me who are the real die hard homers because no matter what, no loss is without it's aggravation and upset and the last thing I would ever do is not negatively critique this team if there was merit to it.
