Since Blount to the IR didn't show up yesterday, I'm expecting him today. That being said, it's been reported that the Patriots signed LB Kevin Snyder out of Rutgers to the Practice Squad. A corresponding move hasn't been announced, but the day is very early yet..

Blount to the IR will give the Patriots 2 open roster spots to fill.. One will be a RB. Be it Williams, Ball or someone else.

Snyder Info:
6'2 4/8 - 238 lbs - 9 3/8" hands - 32 " arms

40 - 4.56
20 - 2.61
10 - 1.56

Bench - 23 Reps
Vertical - 35"
Broad - 9' 09"
Shuttle - 4.31
3-cone - 7.09

Snyder originally signed with the Lions, but broke his hand in TC. He was IRed on 8/26. He was waived from IR on 10/14/15. Signed with San Fran on 11/26/15 and waived on 12/2/15.

The only curious thing regarding the Snyder signing is that it didn't happen sooner. Notice anything here?

Hey, after McCourty, Ryan and Harmon, I'm on the Scarlet Knights bandwagon.

Looks like Trey Williams was let go to make room for Snyder.

Williams is a 3rd down type back, I cannot see them signing him to replace Blount.

Ishmaa'ily Kitchen to the active roster

This one is a bit of a head scratcher.. From what I can find (which is little) he's a run-stuffing NT. 6'1 - 330lbs. But that's why I trust BB..

That's one of the fun parts about watching this team over the years. Their moves tend to be head scratchers and then we get the pleasure of watching it unfold. Then we get to say, oh I see why they did that now......

Snyder looks like he could be developed into a special teams LB.

Hicks has been used against the run quite a bit, maybe now he's going to take Easleys role in the pass rush and Kitchen will get some of the run d reps? Branch and Kitchen are two big dudes...

He's from Rutgers. That is all.

Going into December and January there is nothing wrong with stopping the run and making teams one dimensional.

Maybe to take some ST load off of Bolden now that he's become a critical cog of the offense.
