Patriots give running back Daryl Richardson a tryout
A seventh-round pick of the Rams in 2012, he spent two seasons in St. Louis and has since not appeared in a regular-season game. Richardson has had stints with the Jets and Texans, most recently as a member of the Houston practice squad.
At five feet, ten inches and 196 pounds, Richardson fits the 195-pound minimum that Patriots coach Bill Belichick prefers in a running back, a point made by Tom Curran of CSN New England on Monday’s PFT Live. However, Richardson didn’t do enough on Tuesday to emerge with the roster spot.
