The Patriots third corner is an undrafted rookie who didn't even spend training camp with this team. The third corner is basically considered a starter on most teams.
The second corner is a third-year player most wanted to cut after last season.
The first corner just earned his sixth start of ever.
Then add in another street free agent, waived by a couple teams.

Finnegan may be done. No harm in finding out. I agree that it would be worth a roster spot over a sixth safety or DT.

I wouldn't mind bringing him in assuming, of course, that he hasn't completely bit the dust. Veteran depth at a position as thin as CB is never a bad thing.

IF we ain't going the Trade route Cortland Finnegan would be a good option a Body with playing experience.

Uses a roster slot. Those are better used for players that can contribute and have a future.

Fletcher and McClain have never had success in this league at the position. Why Fletcher, in particular, was brought in is a mystery to me. It was plainly obvious by anyone that watched him play that he wasn't very good. Finnegan, on the other hand, has had success and it's largely been his attitude that has been the factor in him being frowned upon by teams looking for help at CB. But give me other alternatives that make sense that you would rather see. Who are some names that you're looking at and would like to see the team work out at CB?
