Brady doubles down on his medical beliefs

God you're so annoying....do you just get off on being a contrarian?

Here's a thought: Guerrero was part of a company that sold bogus 'miracle cure' products to cancer patients. Whatever his involvement in it, he was at least a spokesman who claimed to have a medical degree he does not have. So sorry, he doesn't get the benefit of the doubt that his concussion water prevents concussions when he peddles that without a shred of evidence. So yes his concussion water claims are bunk, as I said originally. You can spin it any way you want, you're flat out wrong.

You besmirched someone for allegedly doing something. You did what you alleged he was doing in the process.

My pointing that out isn't being a contrarian. It's pointing out that you're being a hypocrite.

I'm not sure what's ironic or hypocritical about any of what I've said. He made crap claims about a product without any proof. My proof that it's crap is that he's done it before, my proof is that Welker got like four concussions in three years and is out of the league despite using and supporting the product, and my proof is that in the supplement/nutrition/medicine business, scientific research that's been peer reviewed and printed in reputable journals is the only way to prove a product works and he didn't do any of that. I've seen the supplement industry and the crap that's peddled there for decades, when I was a teenager I bought into some of the crap and swallowed sugar pills (or god knows what was in some of that stuff). When supplements come without any research, without a shred of evidence that it works besides the endorsement from some NFL friends, when that product is water that prevents concussions, despite that being such a ridiculous claim that is supported in no way, shape or form by any science anywhere, then that's all the proof I need.

And yes you're a contrarian.

Brady can do whatever he wants with his body. If he wants to have daily colonics with green juices that's his choice. Oh ****, wrong thread.

I'm not sure what's ironic or hypocritical....then that's all the proof I need.

And you, my friend, are being more easily roped in than Brady was with the water. Deus does indeed seem to get some entertainment value out of saying just enough to be right but also leaving just enough unsaid to create a response that pulls the conversation deeper into a hole. He's a master at it.

And yes, I have scientific studies to prove it. If you beg to differ, please show me your studies that prove you are right.

Ha, this is true. I hate the internet sometimes, can't just leave stuff like this alone.

Onward...

Did Brady actually say it prevents a concussion from ever occurring or did he suggest that they might be less severe or that you might have less recovery time?

His point ,which included concussions, was that you can do things proactively to help your body endure the hits etc.. during a game/season. I got the impression that he meant his diet and lifestyle made his body more durable and aided in quicker recoveries.

But his partners history is curious to say the least. Brady needs to pay attention to what his buddy is doing.

Forget to live is an interesting way to put it. In my opinion living is being able to improve my climbing and do harder routes. Living is a day hiking with friends or having the energy to keep up with my kids. Living is not eating pizza and drinking Coke. Oh, sure, pizza and coke commercials may tell you that by showing people having the time of their lives while drinking Coke. But that's just marketing.
I'm sorry, but pizza is awesome.

But yes, family & friends can also be awesome. I'd probably go for pick-up basketball over climbing, but to each his/her own on that one.

He called it bunk. I quoted it.

It's on him to prove it's bunk. Do you really not see the irony inherent there?

Well, you selectively quoted him, cutting out the part about it not being based on science. Not sure why u are focusing on this so much, as if you want to defend this charlatan...Wassup Deus?

The drink didn't jump through the minimal hoops to justify its claims. Let it die the embarrassing death it deserved, and already suffered.

I didn't selectively quote him, beyond pointing to the issue I had, and one doesn't need science to be sure all things are/are not bunk, so you're not making sense here. I quoted the hypocrisy. And the issue about science is where I asked him for his proof/studies. He was being a hypocrite. You jumped in on the wrong side of this.

Let it go.

I play in a hoop league and I'm 44. Hiking is ok but I need competition.

Climbing is amazing. It works your body and your mind like nothing ever has, IMO. I also swim, though.

I respect the sport and have friends who love to climb, but it's never been for me...but when someone talks about how much they love it, always makes me think I should give it a try.

is this all they talk about on boston radio?? nice win against the cowboys, colts coming up and all they talk about is alex guerrero. does anybody care about that ****??

hmmm.....Maybe Brady is onto something.
