NFL Week 4 Previews, Predictions and Picks Against the Spread

John Morgan

The vaunted off-season champion Miami defense has been atrocious so far, allowing 391 yards per game. In an attempt to get to opposing quarterbacks the Fins have ignored the run, allowing an NFL 31st-ranked 145 yards rushing per game. The Jet offense is predicated on establishing the run, as that would put less pressure on journeyman QB Ryan Fitzpatrick to win the game. Miami's offensive line is no match for a stout New York defensive front seven either; the Jet defense ranks first in efficiency, with opponents averaging 21.8 yards per point. The Dolphins don't have enough offensive talent to win this game and they have to work too hard to score. The Fins rank 30th in offensive efficiency at 20.3 yards per point, which is a bad omen against a good defense. Expect Revis and Cromartie to pick Tannehill off at least a couple of times to set up a some points.

Andrew Luck will NOT play today.

The poetic justice of the post-PSI 2015 season continues...

Go Jags!!!!!!

Bye-Weeks Blues

9:30AM EST/6:30AM PST
(2:30pm local time)
Jets@Dolphins in London (No lose, no win situation unless it ends in a 3-3 tie)

1:00 PM EST/10AM PST
Jags@Colts – Go Jags. Feel free to take out your anger (from last week) on the Luckless Colts

Giants@Bills – No lose situation. Giants lose and I’m ok, A Bills loss is even better for the division (not that I’m worried about as long as we have Brady)

Panthers@Buccaneers – Prefer a panthers loss because I'm in a drinking mood and they make good Whine.

Eagles@Redskins – Go Eagles (Unless Dan Snyder wants to support Kraft, I say let the “powerful” owners lose)

Raiders@Bears – even if I wanted the Bears to win (and I don’t), the Raiders deserve some love.

Texans@Falcons - No horse in this race - Let's go Falcons, just to make the NFC more interesting. Would be ok with a Texans win as I don't see them competing for the playoffs.

Chiefs@Bengals - Don't see the Bengals slowing down at home. They go to 4-0 (wouldn't be upset if they lost).

4:00PM EST/1:00PM PST
Browns@Chargers – Wow, the Browns won one this year. Probably not a habit for them and couldn’t care who wins

Packers@49ers – SF doesn’t have much chance and would prefer to see the Hawks visit GB in the playoffs

Rams@Cardinals – What happened to that Rams defense? Are the Cardinals contenders (good game to watch)

Vikings@Broncos – If it would cost us home field advantage for the Bronco’s to win, I’d probably not want them to win

Sunday 8:30PM/5:30PM PST
Cowboys@Saints – This game should be played SW of Atlanta (reference – filming location for some scenes in “The Walking Dead”). Brees should be back and seeing Jerry lose is a plus Unless he blows a blood vessel in his head, in which case the Cowboys might get better). Go Saints!

Monday – too far away
Lions@Seahawks – The lions are not lannisters, more like cubs. Seahawks @home, you know the story is already written (just need to get the final score).

Most of the country will get KC at Cincinnati early on CBS; on FOX it is primarily the Giants at Bills early and then Vikings at Broncos late.

Week 4 NFL Game Thread

Didn't see one.

chiefs redzone offense is so terrible

I agree. The Chiefs are an offensive hot mess. So isn't Houston. Yuck.

Robinson just burned Darius Butler. Robinson was basically shutdown last week, got all his yards on that garbage time drive

Jags are at the Colts 6 yard line

I'd love the jags to punch the dolts in the mouth. 9 point dogs or something like that, lol I took the points...

Too bad the Pats don't play the Bengals this year in the regular season, specifically in the next two weeks. Would be nice to drop a dose of reality on them.

I keep hearing how great this chiefs defense is. Terrible. Bungles look good.

They haven't played anybody. I hope the seahags beat them next week.

Third and a bunch and the Giants throw a short pass to pick up 5 !!
