I wonder if this means he'll play on Sunday.

I'm assuming he sits this week. Next week he won't be needed against the Jags. Then we have a bye week. So he will be more than ready against Dallas.

WOW!!!! that was a LOT faster than I expected. I doubt he plays this week, even though a healthy Easley would be a big help. He's missed all the important practices and BB doesn't usually play guys who miss the Wed and Thursday practices. Also while it was great that he was seen on the practice field, we have no idea what his participation level was. If it was "limited" then it would almost certainly exclude him from this game. It's just not that important.

Fourier gave us compelling reasons to keep him out of the Jags game as well. If he sits the next 2 games, with the bye it will mean he will have had close to 4 weeks to heal before he gets back into game action (Cowboys)

I see Easley as being a critical asset in getting this defense to play at its best over the long haul. I really think we are better served having him on the sideline the next 2 weeks

I doubt it. I even doubt he'll play against Jax since NE often brings injured guys along slowly for a couple weeks. But it's a good sign nonetheless.

Good to hear, not sure if I expect to see him on Sunday.. would not be surprised if he does not dress.

If he is healthy enough he'll play. Never agreed with the cautious approach not because it's wrong but because players don't want to wait if they can go they usually go.

Agreed. I'm not basing my expectation on wanting players in bubble wrap, it is because NE has a history of players returning to practice a couple weeks before putting them on the field.

While part of me agrees, I think we sometimes forget how young and inexperienced Easley is. He played very little his rookie season and has maybe half a dozen snaps in the game 1 this year. If he's good to go by next week, I think getting some reps against a lesser opponent would be good for his development, and may pay some small dividend down the road. Obviously if there is a set back or he's not quite right yet, you don't push it. But if he feels good I want him in for as many games as possible.

That's good to hear. It's usually not the best sign when a guy goes to the ground with a leg injury without being hit there. I agree with holding him out possibly until the Dallas game, if need be.

Wow, that's great news. Unexpected, and I'm still skeptical that he'll play this week, but it's great progress nonsetheless. If he can play, I could see him making an immediate impact again Buffalo's suspect line.

I say sit him until the Dallas game. That way he is 100% and fresh for the Cowboys. I really want to beat them.

I wonder if we will continue to play a 250lb DT this week? Not exactly a steel curtain up the middle last week.

That's fantastic news, I know I was one of the people having a melt down when he got injured in the game day thread. .

I thought it was going to be real bad... so glad I was wrong and that he should be ready to contribute again by the Colts game at the latest

That's a very impressive recovery and great news. They're probably putting him out there to get a few reps and assess how it feels and heals up after as they get him ready like so many other people already said. One thing that I think bears mentioning is that all of us should be really happy that he didn't suffer a hip dislocation. Not just for the team, but if one were to look at his social feeds they are nearly entirely pictures of his kids. A hip dislocation probably would have spelled the end for the kind of earning potential that comes with being a professional athlete and he has such enormous physical potential. He's a savage on the field but off of it he strikes me as a really good, caring guy. I would have been heart broken for him if injuries took away his ability to provide the kind of life for his kids that I'm sure he dreams about.

What ever extend of his injury was/is, it's promising just to see him being out for practice. I'm sure BB will have him ready to go when time is right, whether it's this week or next.
