Bronco's WR Kircus arrested

the guy who got his nose broken should be arrested..he got beat up by this guy:

he should be ashamed of himself

The alleged victim, the man who owned the home, was struck in the face after repeatedly asking Kircus to leave, the sheriff's office said.

Classy. I'm starting to think that this problem will never go away for the NFL. The arrests were happening before this whole episode started, however they were brushed under the rug because back then every team didn't have thousands of their own fans posting on internet message forums; there was no YouTube or PFT either. Times change but the arrogant, ****y professional athlete is the same SOB as he was in high school and college.

In the victim's defense, Kircus is 6'2". It's not like he got beat up by Martin Gramatica.

he can be 7"0 but that lanky..no way. plus look at him..hes not a fighter

How do you know he's not a fighter? Just because he's LANKY doesn't mean anything. Bruce Lee was lanky for his height, yet he had one of the quickest and most powerful punches around. Its about muscle definition and ability.

I don't know...He looks a lot what I imagine the fighter from "Of Mice and Men" to look like. ****y, balding, insecure, maybe a little racist, smug.

Of course, getting in a fight, prolly a lil booze involved (didn't read the blurb; necessary, really?) isn't really a symptom of being an indulgent athlete. It's everyday fare for any fat-head male.

I agree completely. The same things that make up a person who has the drive to succeed in pro sports can sometimes make for people who make poor decisions in life. Add the entitlement that is bound to come with being told that you are such a special person your whole life because you can play ball, and it can be too much for some people to handle.

What on earth are you basing any of that on? He looks like a racist to you? Could you elaborate on what a racist looks like?

And yeah its probably a good idea to READ THE ARTICLE before you comment on it. If you don't its certainly not smart to say that you couldn't be bothered to reach 500 words.

That was Lenny, he was a simple, easy giant.

If you wonder what I think he might look like, well, I'll throw you a bone:

Peyton Manning.

Relax, my man. It's chit-chat musings on a football board by one person, not a condemnation on the man's soul. I'll go back to read the article, for your sake, but before I do, here's my prediction: I've read it before with different names, different locations, same story. The same with the guys face. I've seen thousands of those. Glamour football shots, yearbook photos, security tapes, ladies in line at the market, scarred faces, and mugshots. I can read the shapes, faces, lines, and tension. Just like you read the tread on your tires and try to squeeze out another 10,000 miles out of them.

I didn't proclaim him racist. That would be libel and just plain silly. "Maybe a little..." Call it artistic license. It wasn't meant to be inflammatory or accusatory for the sake of it.

Hey g:

I read the story and it was even less than I expected. I imagine the guy who owned the house was jealous and got popped, primarily because his gal invited pro-football player. Jump to your own conclusions. I did. Means nothing on all counts. Whether or not you believe that it might, at least to you.

I waited to respond because I saw you listed as reading the thread. Since you didn't respond prior, I consider it dropped.

Like it or not saying someone looks "maybe a little racist" is an inflammatory statement as you are implying that racists look a certain way. You are ascribing a negative trait to someone based on how they look, which is tantamount to racism. It is a very slippery slope to go down and to write it off as artistic license is a cop out. Your reply seems to reinforce the idea that you know what racists look like, I'll ask you either elaborate or apologize.

Also you shouldn't try to push your tires when the tread is wearing low, that is dangerous.

I was just saying that it is foolish to comment on a story when you haven't read it, and even more foolish to openly say what you think about something and then add that you don't know anything about it.

What the hell do you base that on? His appearance/skin color I assume? You seem "a little racist to me" and I don't have a picture to base that on, just your words.

What I found interesting was Shanahan's comments: if he's found guilty, he's off the team. That suggests a policy of one strike you're out on the Broncos, but this guy is a reserve. I wonder if it would be the same with a front-line guy.
