Patriots Captains for 2015/2016 Season

Jeff Howe reports that the following have been voting Captains for the upcoming season:

McCourty, Mayo, Ninkovich, Wendell, Solder, Slater, Brady.

They should make a "General" or "Admiral" title for Brady.

Wendell feels like Connolly last year: He's the most experienced guy on the line. Solder getting one is a good sign, at least to how he's viewed on the team. Hopefully he has a bit of a bounce back year after some inconsistencies in 2014.

The rest are the usual crew. Damn good seeing Mayo's name somewhere that matters again.

I was, and I didn't mean to imply he was bad or didn't have circumstances that contributed to his play behind the scenes. Just a general hope that his needle goes back to moving up now that he's clear, and I think being voted a captain is a good sign in that regard.

It's really telling for someone like Mayo that he's still a captain despite only playing about 9 games over the last two seasons.
