These guys have been acquired recently. Do any have a chance at the roster? I suspect not. Belichick needed warm bodies, and competitors for the Practice Squad. Maybe some of these players will still be here next Tuesday.

OL: Groy, Martin, Williams
RB: Creecy
TE: Cleveland, Stokes (is he still here?)
LB: Lynch

I don't think they'd be here if there wasn't a chance they could make the roster. Williams and Cleveland have legitimate chances to make the team. The reality is more than likely you opened a similar thread doubting the likes of Hooman, Kline, etc. 3 years ago.

Hooman was a practice squad player that stuck, why couldn't Cleveland beat him out?

You consistently focus to much on the name on the back of the jersey, with the exception of QB, 95% of the time a 25 year old NFL player is going to be better than a 30 something NFL player.

I focus on what a player has done instead of his age and college stats. To each is own. Different posters have different factors that affect their analysis.

You really think that there are 90 players that have a chance of making the roster. OK, when their families ask whether they have a real shot, we'll send them to you.

Hooman and Kline have been outstanding contributors. Oh, they haven't.

We are talking about young players who often times have limited time in the NFL.

The Patriots have given up resources for Cleveland, Groy, and Williams. If Belichick was just looking for warm bodies he could get them without giving anything up in a trade.

A lot will depend on how all the injuries shake out.. I think the OL candidates have the best shot.

Either way there will be copious tinkering with the bottom of the roster.. and what we see now, will not necessarily be what we see in week #16....

The observation I have had of Bill is that he is very willing to churn the bottom third of the roster looking for the best team and those potential diamonds. This year he has been more active in trading for players to bring in to camp to compete for that bottom third. Guessing at least one or two of these will make the practice squad.

These players are possible Practice Squad players. Groy might have made it if Wendell didn't come back or the rookies didn't look good. He was a fine acquisition. He also had the opportunity to beat out Kline for a roster spot. I think that all (except relatives) think that he has not.
