This makes me a little worried that the judge might stick to that as something Brady "would be okay with."

Also, if true, this is the "admission of guilt" the world was waiting for.

I would like to hear one the legal guys weigh in on that.

I don't think the judge is going to determine Brady's suspension. He is only trying to get the two parties to settle. I believe the only thing the judge is going to do is either rule whether or not the NFL acted within the guidelines of the CBA. So it's either yes and the 4 games stand or no and the suspension is vacated or moved to a neutral arbitrator.

That is my understanding.

If brady makes that offer hes getting a suspension of 1 or 2 games irrespective.

The judge is either gonna uphold it or vacate it. He won't be deciding any punishment.

If the judge orders another settlement meeting then if brady's offer of partial suspension is true , it will come into play. OTOH , Iam not sure the PA is happy accepting a suspension since that sets precedent.

See this is what's crazy with this whole story, we literally hear 2 totally opposite things on the same day and it's been that way this whole time, still can't believe were still having to discuss slightly deflated footballs that Noone cared about the pressure before that game, and also the fact were having to wonder if our QB will accept a suspension for something he didn't do , (and the offense in question doesn't even warrant a suspension ) the fact that the league is so corrupt and arrogant to think he should accept one just gets me fired up!

I am inclined to take Zolak at his word. Even Felger seemed to acknowledge that Zolak has legitimate sources. For as much as I respect Schefter as an insider I think what Zo is saying is much more believelable. Could be wrong of course but it doesn't make sense to suddenly back off the "only a fine" stance at this stage.

I think that bridge is burnt. The judge is either going to rule in favor of Brady or the NFL.

I think Schefter was fed info by someone who wasn't lying at the time but perhaps over time will be proven to have been lied to.

I could see berman vacating it on the grounds that the union put forth. In his ruling i can see berman also saying while i'm vacating the suspension on these grounds, ex.(failure of notification) 'I find it troubling that the NFL has no proff of any wrong doing.' etc.

Schefter is almost always money but I doubt he's right here. Brady has no reason to accept that.

Yeah, not surprised if true tho. I know alot of people here like to think they know exactly what brady will and won't accept, but the truth is none of us know what is going on inside his head. Which is why I try not to act like I know brady as a person or like I know what he will or won't do.

The draft pick. That means more for the team than Tom missing 2 games. I'd actually rather have no admission of guilt, restored draft pick, game or two for Brady for the BS cell phone. Rather than lose another pick. AGAIN. For nothing but pure venom and propaganda from butt hurt League office guys that never had what it takes to run a team, or play for that matter.
