Moss is notorious for taking plays off if he is not the intended receiver.
He lazes out in pattern as if he's mailing in another one, safety checks off, then he launches downfield deep.
Will this take too much time to develop?
prove somehow that Moss takes plays off when the ball isnt intended for him. He said hes never done it..hes a team guy and all he cares about is winning. Winning makes him happy. if getting the ball to him means winning..thats what he wants.
Yeah, either that or he had Aaron Brooks as his QB.You better hope that he took plays off in Oakland because, if he didn't, then he isn't the football player he once was or the one we wanted. Either he took plays off or his talent dropped off big time.

was oakland winning? no. Since they were losing..Moss isnt happy. Unhappy Moss means Moss no try no more!
OK...so isn't "not trying any more" another way of saying "taking plays off"?
I don't think anybody can say that Moss has been a consistent high-motor player through his career. The when, why and will it continue are the big questions.
the guy said "when the ball isnt intended for him" ..so if Moss isnt getting the ball he doesnt try? FALSE
Remix, I'm really confused about your position here. You say "Unhappy Moss means Moss no try no more" but you also insist he doesn't take plays off...does that mean that you think his problem is general sulking rather than situational dogging? Is one really better than the other?
It's easy to blame his problems on Oakland's awfulness, but this reputation preceded his stint with the Raiders. In fact, it's one of the main reasons he ended up there. (IIRC, the rumblings all started when he apparently quit on his team in a conference championship game.)
Just to clarify, I do like the signing a LOT. I just think it's a calculated risk.
