Howe says that Bolden is taking control of the passing back role?? I have to say, Bolden just doesn't seem like a natural passing back to me...i'm consistently dumbfounded when he gets put in that group. Am I crazy?

@MarkDanielsPJ: Malcolm Butler had two pass deflections and an interception today. Tarell Brown and Jimmy Jean also had pass breakups.

Excited to see Roberts and Jean in the preseason. Jean could develop on the PS into a Browner type CB for bigger WRs. He stuck out in the in stadium practice.

Duron Harmon has already picked off Ryan Lindley.
On a serious note, Harmon's name seems to be showing up on every report. He's had a pick the past two practices, I believe. He made the crucial play in the divisional round. He's showing some signs.

I've always been a fan.

I like Harmon. I think hes pretty good. Not DMC level but very capable.

Chris White released ?

He was targeted 29 times with 21 grabs out of the backfield (2013), so he has done fine in that role when called upon.

I think more importantly, he has likely proven himself to be the most capable blocking back for those 3rd down blitzes.

EDIT: I have not seen any practices in person, but simply speculating as to why he may be the lead candidate.

is a video of a Butler breakup.

We have him for 3 years for about $5M. Besides, I don't think that we can extend the contract until after two years.

About $2M total for the three seasons (including 2014), and they can extend him after this year.

Bolden is a bad man. When he is blocking somebody might get hurt.

His pass breakup against kearse looked better.(Even though it dropped right in Kearse body)
The play he made on Kearse was incredible, which made it all the more demoralizing (for the moment) that he still came down with the freak catch.

Got high hopes for Butler like everyone else. He's going to have his mishaps I'm sure but we have something there. I think he really will develop into a quality starter if not better.

I can't wait til Thursday! My only annoyance is that the NFL has incorporated its old "Preseason Live" offering into its new US version of Game Pass. I've bought the Preseason Live offering for a couple years now for like $17 because I live in Pennsylvania and it was the only way for me to catch Pats preseason games. Now I'm staring at $99 to buy the whole Game Pass deal which I don't want. Anyone have any other options?
