The fact that they are linking the two accidents for some reason makes me think that the other car made statements about getting involved in a hit and run with a vehicle that matched Spikes' car.

If he was drunk or whatever and hit people and then drove off as far as he could before reporting that he hit a deer, welp...

They said they were rear ended by a car that left. Spikes supposedly reported hitting a deer. No deer was found in the area.
