Did Bob Kraft throw Brady under the bus? I don't think so.

Clairvoyant, in other words. I'll admit, that is a new one.
It did not take a Nostradamus to see that Goodell was biased against the Pats and pro Jets based on his handling of the camera placement fiasco when he punished the Pats at an unprecedented level then leaking and destroying the tapes. When it was revealed that the Jets did the same thing, the league put out a BS explanation that the Pats gave them permission. Yet the owner of the Pats instead of recognizing this and standing up for his team and its reputation, meekly tagged along with the real league powers, Rooney and Mara and supported the POS in his continuing screw ups including the Rice fiasco with its blatant whitewash of Goodell's incompetence. Finally we have this incident which immediately followed Goodell's wristlap on the Jets for tampering. Again the punishment is without precedent. Again Kraft cowers like a beaten dog trying to please his master and the Pats are left to suffer the consequences. One can only assume that Kraft cares nothing about the team or its fans or is willing to tolerate any abuse by his masters.

Biased and insane with power are two different things. What would his appeal be, if not cowering? He would get to beg the judge jury and executioner for mercy, because there is no legitimate process by which the commissioner cannot appoint himself arbitrator and judge over his own punishment.

Why can't people see this?

The league under this commissioner is fixed against us and it would be counter productive to justify that system by grovelling to Caesar for mercy.

Would it appease the fans and talk shows for a couple days? Maybe, I guess.

Actually, he did. rather than patronize the masses with a dog and pony show destined to fail, he's keeping himself in league politics, the only 32 people who can actually do anything about this, except the union and they won't let him in because he isn't a player.
