I think alot of folks who were against Moss coming here seem to think those of us (the majority of the fanbase) who are excited at the prospects he brings are blind or unaware of what kind of person Moss is. One such person is Jim Donaldson of ProJo:

I dont want to speak for everyone, but as for myself:
I understand that Moss can be an off-the-scale douchebag.
I know he just may be the most evil. self-centered player in the league.
I know about his lengthy history of indiscretions.
I know he is a frontrunner.
I know he doesn't play hard all the time.
I know he doesn't fit the historical Patriot mold.
I know that this union has a good chance of failure.
I know that Belichicks description of Moss is embellished.
I know that current players are painting his arrival with a mostly postive SPIN.
But I also know:
That the Patriots are a business first and foremost.
That the primary goal of that business is to put the most competive product on the field.
The ultimate goal is to win a Superbowl every year.
That if any team can keep Moss in check due to their success and structure, its the Patriots.
That if he reverts to his historic self, he will be cut....quickly.
That Moss is actually a bright person who understands this is potentially his last paycheck in the NFL should he misbehave.
That there are 40+ other players on the team who are men of great character, and it makes more sense judging a teams overall character based on the majority and not the minority.
That Belichick, Pioli and Kraft have proved themselves much smarter than everyone else most of the time.
That most of the critical naysayers are privately relishing seeing what this union will exhibit on the field.
That if by mid-season, Moss has 600+ yards receiving and not a peep has been heard from him, most articles will be titled, " The Moss Miracle", and what a wonderfully changed person he's become.
It's gonna be a wild ride either way.
