Landon Collins?

I think that mock is way off. Two RBs in the first round seem like two too many; RB is a devalued position. Also the CBs will go earlier....a lot earlier--teams are desperate for DBs.

I had never thought of him as an option because I expected him to be long gone. But now it's becoming more of a possibility.

This mock has him landing to us at 32. Thoughts? Color me interested anyways. I would love having his size next to DMac.
Doubt Bill would pull the trigger on Collins. Very pedestrian 3 cone time (7.38) and not a great cover guy. I would love him in a Pats uni because he is a tone setting safety in the mold of Rodney Harrison.

I would love Collins in this defense as I think he's the perfect compliment to McCourty and he could step in and start right away. But I too think he will be long gone by the time we pick. Melvin Gordon would probably have the luckiest career of any RB ever getting to run behind that stud OL in Wisconsin in college and Dallas' in the pro's.

CORNERS
I do believe that Waynes will likely be draft earlier. Having only one of the five available to us is the norm for most mocks. Here only Jones is left out of the top five when we pick at 32. I suspect that Belichick would consider a trade up if the draft fell the way this mock has it.

RUNNING BACKS
You are free to disagree with 80% or more of the mocks which have two running backs in the first round. BTW, I believe that Belichick would quickly draft wither Gurley or Gordon if one were available art 32.
