So now the Browns and Falcons have been punished due to textgate and noisegate. Hopefully both deflategate and tampergate will soon come to an end with both in our favor. I wonder who BB will choose with the 6th pick in the draft.

I find it encouraging that the results for DeflateGate did not come on the same day as those real transgressions. It means that the NFL isn't just going to lump it in with them and that we might see good results.

It all depends on what the findings are. If they exonerate us, then it will be great to have more attention in the spotlight of the media. I think we all agree that the organization deserves the positive attention--if it comes.

If there is going to be some type of punishment or fine, I'd much rather have seen it lumped in with the other love tap/slap on the wrist penalties that were given to both CLE and ATL.

I think the league went really really really easy on the Browns and Falcon so they could also add a light slap for the Jets. If they went heavy-handed on the Falcons, then did little for the Jets, it would look worse.

Heck, it wouldn't even surprise me if the league docked US at this point. Loss of 3rd round pick for former Patriot Dimitroff piping in extra crowd noise, loss of 6th for BB's old Browns team texting. I mean BB used to work for the Jets too so the league probably blows the whole thing off since it's really the same thing to them.

I expect nothing from this league of clowns and they consistently meet expectations.

I'm not expecting much of a penalty to the Jets, considering goodell went easy on the falcons and browns. He saves his harsh punishments only for the pats.

I wonder based on Peter King's response to this (and he is the most League office friendly writer in the league), whether Goodell isn't amused by the Jets filing charges. I wonder if this blows up in their face.

Goodell can still punish the Jets harshly and while just giving the Pats a mid-rounder. I wonder how the other 30 owners feel about the Jet's frivolous charge.

If anything then Atlanta's punishment has shown to not expect any draft penalties for the upcoming draft. If the tampering charges lead to anything, then it will happen 2016.

Maybe Goodell realizes that a high draft pick swap is warranted but doesn't want to hammer the Rats with such a pick number discrepancy.
