Excellent signing! He can very easily step in to the Vereen/Woodhead role, or at the very least make James White that much better. Cadet played well against us when we beat the Saints in 2012/2013?. Here's a youtube video of highlights from the HOF game his rookie year, the same year we had joint practices with the Saints in Foxboro.

Reminds me of Woodhead's career arc. Cadet spent 3 years on a team buried on a depth chart (was never more than the backup receiving back and only carried the ball 11 times) and hopefully goes to NE to break out.

Good, well that solves that. I hope he can replace Vereen, whose legend seems to grow by the hour in Patriots Nation. I liked Vereen a lot, but I never thought he was a special talent. Hopefully Cadet can step into that role.

Ahh… The optimism in this thread for this guy is sort of perplexing, but maybe I'm wrong and he's not just another dude. I definitely don't see a Vareen replacement here, but hopefully I'll eat those words.
