Brady without an elite Corner - 8 Seasons 2 Super Bowl appearances 0 Championships.

It is very simple. If you have an elite QB and can stop the pass by either pass defense or getting pressure you stand a very high chance of winning. When you can only do 1 your odds drop significantly. When you can do neither you have no shot.

I know; run defense, run game. STs, ect.... Yes they matter but they are less important than the above two. The above 2 are vital. If you wanna nit pick there are exceptions.

The 2000 Baltimore D. Well I am pretty sure their pass D and overall D was so good they were able to out score the other team's O by themselves. Heck they had an opponents average passer rating of something like 50.

If you want this team to win give Brady a championship D. If you want this team to be "competitive" and sniff the super bowl and sometimes make it only to fall short at the last moment then give him a okay D.

Here is to hoping I am wrong about that or BB is somehow going to piece together a great D next year.
