Leverage with Aiken, who is a free agent. And/or a head start on a replacement. The Pats would probably want to bring in 2 or 3 candidates for OTAs and training camp.

I really don't think they will be active players in bidding up Aiken's salary.

Being a NEP fan is awesome. While we debate the comings and goings of LS Ott, Winston visits Tampa. Count me in the "If Aiken is our biggest problem, we're in an amazing situation" camp.

Really hope someone better replaces him (or he somehow gets better). Aiken is going to cost us a game eventually with those low snaps. Punt was nearly blocked on that first drive of the SB.
