Re: Offical 2007 NFL Draft 2nd Round Discussion

Oakland takes Zach Miller

i was thinking they would take Jarrett simply because they were thinking about Johnson..they have Jarrett's O Cord as HC and Moss might be gone

Re: Offical 2007 NFL Draft 2nd Round Discussion

Official 2007 NFL Draft 3rd Round Discussion

Pats sent 91 to the Raiders, but for what? Randy Moss?

BB's staking a chunk of his reputation on two questionable characters if we walk out of Day One with Merriweather and Moss.

But the upside of both of those players if they aren't turds????

Holy F'ing Crap!

Re: Offical 2007 NFL Draft 2nd Round Discussion

Looks like it's Beck

Re: Offical 2007 NFL Draft 2nd Round Discussion

WOW.. San Diego just picked up Weddle.. And, jesus... That trade makes the Pats trade look that much WORSE.

To Chicago: #62,#93,#167, 2008 3rd round pick...

And the Pats could only get a measly 4th with the 2008 1st rounder?

Jeeeshh....

Re: Offical 2007 NFL Draft 2nd Round Discussion

Beck is 200 pounds..isnt that small for a QB? Cant wait for our front 7 to knock him out

Re: Offical 2007 NFL Draft 2nd Round Discussion

Beck is 26 years old.

Re: Offical 2007 NFL Draft 2nd Round Discussion

Beck's a good choice.

But that doesn't make the Ginn pick right.

Re: Official 2007 Patriots Draft Thread

Based on the BB interview notes Pats1 posted in the main forum, he liked Meriweather's versatility. If we see him play more at CB then Safety, #24 makes more sense as far as how I assess value.

This is an important question to ask ourselves before round three: Will he compete for Geno's spot at FS, or possibly groomed for a likely Samuel departure at CB?

I see him strictly as a FS -- regardless of how BB wants to use him. If he takes on Safety or CB responsibilities in any given series -- that's where his true value lies. But he still has better Safety skills than at CB, which will make me ignore the rest of the FS crop, and instead focus on a SS candidate along with another CB, and of course the missing link position of LB. Throw in a RB, QB, TE, NT, OL -- and we're all set (head spinning).

Re: Offical 2007 NFL Draft 2nd Round Discussion

lol Cameron was funny..we got..a .. a .. great punt returner..your gonna be thrilled!

Re: Offical 2007 NFL Draft 2nd Round Discussion

Love the footage of Cameron making the Ginn pick.

Re: Offical 2007 NFL Draft 2nd Round Discussion

Didn't the Sporting News rate Houston as a 4th rounder? I know that's maybe extreme, but that should tell us we shouldn't be that surprised Houston has fallen this far. However by most accounts, David Harris's stock was skyrocketing the days leading up the the draft. I'm surprised he's still here and if he continues to fall, say another ten picks or so, AND Woodley is still avaliable, I wouldn't be surprised if we engineer a trade up.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Cam Cameron YOU SUCK

Re: Offical 2007 NFL Draft 2nd Round Discussion

40 picks so far, and none from USC. Pete must have done his best ever coaching job this year. The last few years the 1st round has been packed with Trojans.
