Was considering the drive up, but wondering if the place is a zoo?

When they announced that hot chocolate would be served to those waiting in line -- meaning the line was expected to stretch outdoors however long -- I decided against it. Few things I hate more than waiting in line for ANYTHING. Plus, how much does the photo cost?

Was at pro shop around noon. That alone was a MADHOUSE. Thee line for the hall was very very long

I believe the Photo comes with the cost of admission to the Hall

Hall is only half off if you buy something at the proshop and keep the receipt. Just a heads up.

never used my complimentary free admission that came with my tickets. wonder if they'd honor it for this, might just trek up tomorrow AM.....in the freakin snow that never ends, enough already!!!!

I might make the trip up in middle of the snowstorm....maybe the line won't be bad at all
Usually takes me less than an hour....but probably double that in the snow.

I think its worth the wait.

You never know. Could be the last Lombardi in a long time.

I plan on making the trip down to the Hall sometime this summer.

was thinking the same thing !!! about 2 hrs for me

I thought the Lombardi photo op was only Friday and Saturday. Are you sure it's Sunday as well?

Going for it.....after all, it's Sunday ....and Sunday , is meant for football, should be up there around 12ish

You have to REALLY want this photo op to stick it out. Here's how my day went yesterday......

Got there at noon. Waited an hour in the ticket line.
So now it's 1:00 and they gave me admission tickets for 4:00 (the next available slot).

Took the wife and two kids (7 & 4) to papa gino's then SpongeBob Squarepants movie.

Got back to the hall right at 3:45. They did not call for the "4:00 tickets" to go in until 5:00. That's when we actually got into the hall, from there it was another 3 hour wait. When I looked at the clock as we were pulling out of the parking lot it was 8:30.

If I had to do it all over again. I still would have gone but I would have left the wife and kids at home. Their sanity was really being put to the test when waiting in line. Let's just say we went shopping this morning, I had to get them both some toys to reward them for sticking it out.

Thanks. You just solved my dilemma over whether to attempt this today.

They need to offer this again in the spring and/or summer. Out of curiosity, how long was the line? Did it stretch far outside?

The lines inside were definitely long. Outside there were a large number of people (maybe 250 or so) but in keep in mind that represented people who had tickets for a time slot close to ours (I'm sure many more showed up later).

The disappointing part was the lack of information coming from the staff (or lack of staff).

When I first got if I had known that I would be waiting in line to buy tickets for 4 o'clock I would have been GONE that second. But I had already invested an hour and the wife had a good idea of taking kids to the movie. We were under the assumption that the place was just sooo crowded that they were giving it time to clear out (so that when we did come back at 4:00 it would be a fairly quick experience from them).

Of course, it wasn't until 4:00 that we realized just how much longer we had to go. At that point I felt like I had to take the kids home, it was surprisingly my wife who talked us into staying saying how much she knew I wanted to do this. Also seeing the long "refund" line was a good motivator to 'stay the course'. That's right, even with many people getting refunds, it still took us over three hours to see the trophy from that point.

WHat was also somewhat disappointing is that they didn't have a nice setup for the trophy. I mean, they had a nice stand but the backdrop is 'others fans waiting in line'. They did have staff taking the pictures, but they by no means were encouraging a smooth flow. Many people would be taking their coats off and getting ready ONLY when it was their turn to take a pic (it would have been nice if they had done that while in line).

Bottom line, I'm still glad I did it, but the overally experience could have been far more organized and less painful.

I wonder how long it will be before it is added to the current display of 3 trophies. They'll have to build a new lighted tube for it, but how long can that take. obviously the display was designed for future expansion

That said, I will wait until it is added to the display.

as a side note: a friend of mine works for Tiffany's, who designed and built the Lombardi trophy (as well as world series trophy) he told me that sports teams typically put in an immediate order for several (over a dozen or so at times) exact copies to go on tour, as well as taking the original back for repair the day after the event (they get trashed during post game celebrations). So, in all likelihood, you probably are not waiting in line this weekend to take a picture with the original, but rather a duplicate trophy.

Of course the trophy is built to the same specs and by the same people as the original... it was just built a few days later. So they are all "real"..... depends on your perspective. just remember: "There is no spoon"

edit: My friend also designs the superbowl championship rings (I got to see in 3d auto-cad, and wear a 3D printed version of the seahawks ring last year) Even though the Pats have never decided to use Tiffany's, they still put in a design every year. Ive seen versions of rings that might have been the Pats SB ring before SB 42 & 46.... unfortunately, my friend had to go to work the day after these losses and design the Giants rings... glad he didn't have to do that this year.
These ended up being the final rings, because they are a NY based company and the NY teams always go with Tiffany's.
Hopefully they go with Tiffany's design this year, that way I get to see it (and wear a 3D printed version) before they Pats even do. Would be cool to look at that ring for the rest of my life and know a buddy of mine designed it.

Wasn't a big line at all today, maybe 10 or so outside, however, piece of cake for us (Season Ticket Holder), walked right upstairs, there was a line there however, took about an hr to get to the Lombardi once inside.

I'm glad your experience was better than mine. I was hopeful (for the sake of others) that they learned from the prior day and were better organized for day Sunday. Maybe that was case, or perhaps everyone went on Saturday. EIther way, you got your pics and I got mine, so it's all good.

These things ALWAYS are better in memory anyway. A few months from now I'll remember getting the pictures and spending a nice day with my kids (the waiting will not be remembered).

Went down there today around 12:00. Line outside was around 25 people. Then the attendant walked around explaining to people it was sold out. Needed tickets for that time slot. I had free admission tickets to the Hall that came with my Season Ticket booklet. I explained that was all I had. Did not know you needed pre admission tickets. The women said follow me. She explained season ticket holders got preference. I was with my 6 month old grand daughter. Was escorted upstairs to a holding tank. Waited around 1 hour to get a picture with the trophy.
