Just to put our run here in perspective. Some of my friends were whining about Matt Millen (again), and going over how absolutely atrocious his reign has been (or, from an outsider's point of view: comical. But I digress.) Anyways, Millen took over prior to the 2001 season. So, from 2001-2006, the Lions played 96 games. They won 24 of those, for a .250 winning percentage, lowest in football. The Pats won 69, for a .719 winning percentage, highest in football. But, more impressive, the Pats have won 12 post-season games over that time span. In 14 tries.

The Pats' 12 wins in 14 post-season games is exactly 1/2 of the Lions 24 TOTAL wins out of 96 regular season games over the last 6 years. That is incredible.

How the heck did Millen get his hands on those naked photos of Bill Ford in that hotel room ?

Cruel, if your friends choose to give you a blanket party I'll understand.

Amazing - I think the more telling stat is that in ONE difficult and injury plagued season, the Patriots won half as many games as the Lions have in SIX ENTIRE SEASONS!!!!

But I digress - interesting no matter how you slice it...

And although this is pretty much just a trivia post, let me just say that Michigan Dave offers some of the more insightful posts around here... not the least of which is due to his long history following Tom Brady.

Wait, so this means...don't tell me...that we're better than Detroit?
