With Dobson going on the IR, does the spot go to Siliga? Or do the Pats stay at 52 until they get back from the West Coast?

I think they bring up Deonatae Skinner, if I remember correctly Hightower has some medical issues and special teamer Chris White has not been practicing..

As much as this makes sense, they will probably do the opposite..

I agree it will likely be Skinner. We have some time on Siliga but we could use LB depth this week.

"Long" term l(meaning a week or two) they'd likely then replace Skinner with Siliga and hopefully find a place for Boyce in case someone grabs him from the PS - although the fact that no-one has grabbed Boyce yet kind of tells me that I have him over rated.

Options:

1. Bring back Siliga.
2. Add a WR with Dobson on IR. Boyce is the most likely candidate.
3. Add a LB with Hightower ailing. Skinner is the most likely candidate.
4. Do something else, including nothing for this week.

LB depth, nothing more or less.

Quite unsure what they will do with the spot, but I think Darius Flemming will probably not hold onto his spot once guys heal up. So that is another spot to consider if we need to make room for Siglia etc.

My guess is Skinner

We have Collins, Ayers, Casillas and Fleming. Presumably, Hightower is out for a couple of weeks.

There is certainly room to activate Skinner. However, I don't see him getting an reps. Collins is fine in the base.

My choice would be Green as a special teamer for a week. However, there is no need to have a 53rd player if he we would be one of the inactives.

Per @FieldYates, Patriots filling 53rd open roster spot by bringing DL Sealver Siliga off short-term injured reserve.

This could be a nice time to find out whether Darius Fleming has some upside.

I am very curious about how well our run defense will do now. The depth we have at DT could give us a solid rotation which could be key down on the road to Arizona. Especially with this secondary..

If Hightower cannot be duct-taped one option in base could be to move Ayers inside and Fleming to the edge.
Branch -Siliga-Wilfork
Nink-Collins-Ayers-Fleming

What about Easley?

What about Easley?
If healthy he would play but he has been banged up (knee). He could also play inside with Chris Jones in a sub package (at some point joined on the outside by Chandler Jones...)
