To be honest, although these first few games have been a torture to watch, I like the experiments they are doing. It seems to me, and this is only a theory, that Belichick went all in on this rebuilding O-line. Instead of switching pieces one by one to get the players acclimated and merged into one solid wall, he got the opportunity of Scar leaving, got the new guys and also anticipated the Mankins move that would most likely happen next season.
It creates a mess of course and we are seeing that, but it's going to get solved earlier too because they have a full season to get some chemistry. I prefer a 9-7 team who gets hot in the right time than those 13-3 teams deluded by the regular season and not tested for the physical match ups that comes in January.
If this is what really happened, like I said I like the experiments, I just don't like the pieces, they could bring someone better than the Tuba Player, it was a deep draft after all.
