Everyone hates that play call on 3rd down unless it's complete. There was this exact same discussion by many people on this board and in the media last year after one game that I don't recall.

Because its a bad call. Big lead. Clock is your friend. Third and short. Get hte first down.

To be fair, there are logical and illogical calls. Logical calls often fail, and illogical calls often work.
