Easley must be ready to go. It's the only logical reason to cut Kelly at this point. I do not believe that Vellano, Siliga, or Jones should be starting....granted that's my opinion.

As a few have opined on Twitter, bodes well for the health of Jones and Siliga, and the future of Worthy/Vellano. Disappointed to see Kelly go though, definitely worth keeping.

Perhaps if Kelly is cut, that may be an indication that the Patriots expect to use more 3-4 or 3-3-5 formations, and not a whole lot of 4-3.

Smith and Anderson being released are no more than mild surprises, if that.

Smith and Anderson aren't huge surprises. Neither did much this preseason. Kelly is a shock to me. I thought he would start .

It must be good news that Siliga and Chris Jones and their injuries. Wouldn't be surprised if Kelly is back.

Maybe Kelly didn't want to take another pay cut? Either way, he was worth his small contract.
