I seem to remember BB likes to do this (edit: in pre-season) -- take out one QB for a few plays (ie Brady). Simulate a game sitch where he might have to come out for a few plays then go back in.

I swear with the new emphasis on the rules, I would go for it in a lot of 3rd and long and fourth and short situations because odds are good you will draw a flag.
