...vaguely similar to what happened with Nate Solder. Made an appt. and then canceled it just before the draft. Perhaps something, perhaps nothing.

If we do take him, I hope its at #29.

Don't know much about him, but he appears to be a bit of a tweener in our system; 43 end at Boise State who struggles to play in space and is smaller than Collins when he came out. Would probably need to play in 34.

This could mean something or nothing. It's intriguing though.

I am not high on Lawrence at all personally, I think he has some upside but not enough to justify being selected in the first round of this draft.

While it could mean either something or nothing, it might also mean everything.

If we do take him I hope we trade down to do it. He is probably the best overall outside pass rusher in this draft not named Clowney (I like him as a pure PR ahead of Ford who to me is looking a lot like a 1 trick pony). The problem is he is too small to play the run and can't cover well as far as I know.

If we trade down to #37 or so and he is there is wouldn't have a big issue. But not at 29.

Too many rumors going on - jace amaro is seen at boston airport, demarcus Lawrence visit getting cancelled, not sure what's going on

The last couple of Boise State guys to come out didn't do well in Jamar Taylor and Shea McLellin. That worries me.

This. Most Boise State prospects don't do much in the pros. Doug Martin and the OT (I forget his name) are the only ones to be decent. Billy Winn, the verdict is still out on him.

Not exactly the same as the Solder situation because the Pats homework on him had already been done through familiarity with his position coach. That doesn't seem to be the case here. Didn't Scar also fly to Colorado to work him out personally?

Ryan Clady.

There's other ways to get inside scoops on prospects.

One that comes to mind is Stevan Ridley. The guy that gave him the best review to BB was Nick Saban. He played Ridley once or twice a year for a couple of years. Sometimes , an opposing coach can give you a better analysis. They could really breakdown what he does really well, bad, how to stop him, bad tendencies, etc. I have a hard time seeing a coach, in this case Les Miles really breaking down his player to future employers, and telling them SR has a fumbling problem, or doesn't have breakaway speed.

But back to Lawrence. Them canceling him could mean they have enough info on him to be interested, or enough to completely take him off their board. It could also mean they are playing head games with other teams. It's impossible to tell from where we stand.

I personally like the IDEA of Lawrence and Collins flying around the field under the coaching of BB. But like Collins, I would be more comfortable taking Lawrence in the 2nd round.
