Seahawks CB Brandon Browner meeting with Pats Thursday 3/13

I see a bunch of 1st round talent at CB and a huge number of question marks at TE after Ebron. Anyone who watched Jace Amaro at the combine has to be holding their breath at the thought of drafting him in the first round.

I'd have no hesitation in drafting Amaro at #29, that's how sure I am he will be a very good TE in the NFL. He's a football player, not a track star (which is what the combine is kinda like).

I didn't want him prior to the combine, and nothing has changed my mind since. Don't want a TE who can't block or win contested catches.

It doesn't need to be TE. Now it looks like DT is the #1 need.

Too good to be true but:

Revis
Browner
Woodyard

...would make me sooo happy.

With the first two the pass defense is solidified,

Now you want to be sure the opposition can't run it down your throat. You want a dominant anti run MLB.

I would want Spikes back. So even with possible future problems at DT, they can't run on you. He left it open saying: ":You never say never.." and burning no bridges, even admitting he might have made some mistakes himself.

You need starting quality depth at LB. That is why I want Spikes back.

Wonder if he has already left

Kind of weird that we have yet to hear anything. Hope that doesn't mean he is leaving without a deal.

He has other visits like Woodyard. He left with no deal...so the same thing could happen here

That's usually what it means, probably on a plane to Washington right now.

He ran great at the combine. That wasn't the problem. His problem was being unable to track down balls, dropping passes constantly, and looking discombobulated as he moved stiffly through cones and had balls bounce off his forehead.

If he came here first, it would indicate the Pats were his first choice. Which is why it is worrying that he hasn't signed. If the Pats offered him a deal he liked, I am sure he would have taken it.

Nowhere has said he's left yet

With Porter singing in Washington..their interest in Browner has probably cooled

In the spirit of looking at BPA and need, I have DT as one of my top positions for the first round.

CB (because of quality BPA + need), S (same), DT (mostly because of need), and WR (because of quality and need).

TE and OL are out for me unless Ebron is there. Don't see the point in grabbing an OL that early.

Players I would look at: DT Hageman, DT Nix, CBs Gilbert, Fuller, Dennard, Roby, Ss Nix and Pryor, WRs Matthews, Cooks, Beckham, Lee. Obviously, TE Ebron.

I'v wanted Amaro for the longest time but I recently changed my mind. Sefarian-Jenkins at 6'6, great catcher and has a basketball playing history.

He seems pretty intelligent too.

Go for it. Sign the beast.

To hell with role player value signings. The Patirots have more of those types of players than they have roster spots. Why not take one unit of the team, critical to success in today's game, and make it great. A secondary of Revis-McCourty-Harmon-Browner, with Dennard, Ryan, Wilson and Arrington on the bench would be ridiculous. I'd be more than comfortable filling in DL depth in the draft knowing that we have an absolute shutdown secondary.

Why the hell would we get a CB early in the draft?

I don't understand the big deal with players visiting more than one team. This is the case for almost every FA except the ones who get super big deals right out of the gate.

If I'm a FREE agent I'd want to check out my options.
