So basically everyone who had no chance of making the team is cut.

Massacre of the Innocents

Mark Harrison survived the cut of the innocent 2nd year scrubs it seems.

People have to remmeber the deapt on this years draft, makes some ppl who is going undrafted, but could be a 6 or 7 round pick in another draft. So haveing ALOT of Space is a good thing.

I believe the Patriots entered the day with more than 20 roster spots available.

So TJ Hey Moe & his $5K cap hit is waived, yet Wilfork, Soap & Kelly are still here.

I don't think they're doing these moves for cap space, they're probably just getting the roster in order prior to UFA and the draft.

Because why would they cut a guy who has no salary cap implications this far out from training camp and OTAs? Gotta mean something... there are tons of guys who could have been cut before him. I don't think many people expected Moe to be on the team, but compete in camp sure.

Sure, it means the team feels they are wasting time with him. Cutting camp fodder doesn't indicate anything about real players.

Re: No mo Moe?

I think Edelman demanded no competition as part of his negotiation. He's tired of short, injured white guys. Amendola is next.

Except that T.J. Moe is actually taller than Edelman at 5'11 4/8" tall. Not exactly short.

He's short by the patsfan forums standard of 6'5".

Except I wouldnt exactly call Moe camp fodder. He was one of their priority free agents a year ago and actually received guaranteed money to sign here.

Why wouldn't they bring him to TC and let him compete, he could have been borderline 53 man roster or PS candidate? And why cut all these players who do close to nothing in terms of salary cap help?

I think they are bringing back Edelman which would make Moe expendable.
