Tried it again today.

I was honestly just going for BPA, a little consideration of need, but it ended up being a skill position draft other than Crichton.

Heh, just ran the simulator and was thinking, "This thing is terrible and broken! but man, i wish!"

Greg Robinson, Dee Ford, Niklaus...

In the third round, i realized that I was drafting for Tennessee, not New England...

Now they let you pick databases. I chose Walter Football:

29
CB DARQUEZE DENNARD
MICHIGAN STATE

62
TE AUSTIN SEFERIAN-JENKINS
WASHINGTON

93
WR DONTE MONCRIEF
OLE MISS

126
DT DOMINIQUE EASLEY
FLORIDA

182
CB ANTONE EXUM
VIRGINIA TECH

190
CB AARON COLVIN
OKLAHOMA

221
TE COLT LYERLA
OREGON

Secondary problems are solved.

That would be a draft.

With the Optimum big board, Dennard is gone. I ended up with:

29
DT DOMINIQUE EASLEY
FLORIDA
62
TE AUSTIN SEREFIN-JENKINS
WASHINGTON
93
OT JOEL BITONIO
NEVADA
126
CB ANTONE EXUM
VIRGINIA TECH
182
C MARCUS MARTIN
USC
190
WR KEVIN NORWOOD
ALABAMA
221
TE CROCKETT GILMORE

Using Optimum

R1 Kyle Fuller

R2 Austin Sefarian-Jenkins

R3 Stephon Tuitt

R4 Donte Moncrief

R6 Marcus Martin

R6 Telvin Smith

R7 Lolucheiz Purifoy

Just for the heckuva it, I picked as cleveland:

4
DE JADEVEON CLOWNEY
SOUTH CAROLINA

26
TE ERIC EBRON
NORTH CAROLINA

35
CB DARQUEZE DENNARD
MICHIGAN STATE

71
DE KAREEM MARTIN
NORTH CAROLINA

83
WR DONTE MONCRIEF
OLE MISS

102
C TRAVIS SWANSON
ARKANSAS

123
DT DAQUAN JONES
PENN STATE

133
DT KELCY QUARLES
SOUTH CAROLINA

164
TE C.J. FIEDOROWICZ
IOWA

195
CB ANTONE EXUM
VIRGINIA TECH

Smash mouth 1 TE, 2 WR, 1 RB offense

Cameron, Gordon, Ebron, Moncrief, insert RB
If they lose Mack, replace with Swanson

Dennard gives Haden some help, and Exum tries to fill the absence of Ward

Kareem Martin the blitz the QB, and Daquan Jones to stop the running game, Quarles with pressure up the middle, Fiedorowicz as blocking TE

Clowney to create controversy, because you can't have the Cleveland Browns without controversy.

If those top five picks lived 100% up to expectations! short of getting a QB, that Browns team could be something special.

Using Walters list I got:
29
TE JACE AMARO
TEXAS TECH

62
C WESTON RICHBURG
COLORADO STATE

93
QB A.J. MCCARRON
ALABAMA

126
DT DEANDRE COLEMAN
CALIFORNIA

182
WR CODY HOFFMAN
BYU

190
C RUSSELL BODINE
NORTH CAROLINA

221
TE COLT LYERLA
OREGON

I know that I drafted 2 OC's but either can swing into OG.

My thinking's been evolving, so I tried again using Fanspeak's own board. I tried hard to make realistic choices, and not "peek ahead" or take advantage of any odd rankings.

29 TE AUSTIN SEFERIAN-JENKINS

62 C MARCUS MARTIN (Note: Joel Bitonio was already gone, which seems all too realistic!)

93 OLB JORDAN TRIPP

126 DT CARAUN REID (I'm warming to Reid as a rare mid-round DT prospect with some penetration ability)

182 TE CROCKETT GILMORE

190 OLB KEVIN PIERRE-LOUIS

221 DE LARRY WEBSTER (I like to swing for the fences with 7th rounders, and Webster's a perfect example -- raw potential incarnate)

Great mock. ASJ is one of my favourite prospects in the whole draft, Caraun Reid is the best mid round value at DT, not sure Martin is a Patriots-type player but I love his ability and I've been touting a Tripp/KPL combo for a couple of days. Now we just have to do something about that Gilmore pick

I was already regretting Gilmore! So go ahead and replace him for me. Who ya got?

Same database:

29
DT RA'SHEDE HAGEMAN MINNESOTA

62
TE AUSTIN SEFERIAN-JENKINS WASHINGTON

93

126
DE KAREEM MARTIN NORTH CAROLINA

182

190

221
DT ZACK KERR DELAWARE

Just a shame I missed out on Jordan Tripp but I would take this draft to the bank every day.
