Next Stop, the Underwear Olympics

What do you guys think? Should we take a chance on this kid?

Are you all ready for the main attraction tomorrow?

. @RapSheet: Yes, it’s true. At least one scouting department has an office pool on what Johnny Manziel’s height will be officially. #overunder

.......

Can the NFL please hand a picture of this TFB out to every GM before the QBs weigh in?

"Oh no, Teddy Bridgewater is 10 lbs. less!!! Drop him 10 spots!!!1!11" -GMs

In case his tape didn't do all the talking...

Per @TonyPauline, Aaron Donald benches 500+, is expected to rep 30+ on bench, then run his 40 in the 4.7’s at 290-pound area.

Not that I really care what a DT's 40 or bench press is. But everything about Donald just screams success to me.

. @MoveTheSticks: Blake Bortles 6'5 232
@MoveTheSticks: Teddy Bridgewater 6'2 1/8 214
@MoveTheSticks: Johnny Manziel 5'11 3/4 207

@MoveTheSticks: Hand size: Bridgewater- 9 1/4, Bortles- 9 3/8, Manziel- 9 7/8.

There it is.

Gil Brandt ?@Gil_Brandt
Reminder: Last QB to start @NFL game w/ smaller than 9-inch hands was Matt Cavanaugh, drafted in 1978

Daniel Jeremiah ?@MoveTheSticks
Big boys! Kelvin Benjamin- 6'5 240, Mike Evans- 6'4 3/4 231

I wish these guys were in the draft last year, I love big WRs

Holy smokes at Benjamin. He's bigger than Megatron.

Interesting...
Ben Volin ?@BenVolin
There’s a lot of buzz that Greg Schiano could join the #Patriots staff. I’m told the two were seen hanging out last night here in Indy

I wouldn't mind this

Edit
Ben Volin ?@BenVolin
And FWIW, the #Patriots don’t have a LB coach -- didn’t fill the void left by Pepper Johnson. Could be a good 1-year job for Schiano

Interesting...

Edit

I would. Schiano is a dunce. Signs the best man to man corner in the NFL and has him play zone on 90+% of his defensive snaps.

While I don't disagree with you I think that situation was mostly a HC and GM not on the same page. As LBer coach for a year I wouldn't have a problem with it, he seems pretty good at developing talent.

I wonder if it would have a (negative) impact in the Pats' ability to resign Talib and Blount. In particular, if it's a choice of Talib at CB and current coaching staff or no Talib and Schiano on coaching staff, I'm taking the former.

I didn't even consider that and I think its a valid point. I agree, I would take Talib over Schiano.

From Daniel Jeremiah on Twitter:

- Sammie Watkins 6' 0 3/4" 211#.
- Marqice Lee 5' 11 3/4" 192#.

More from Jeremiah:

- Odell Beckham 5' 11 1/4" 198#.
- Jarvis Landry 5' 11 1/2" 204#.
- Brandon Cooks 5' 9 3/4" 189#.
- Allen Robinson 6' 2 5/8" 220#.
- AJ McCarron 6' 3 1/4" 220#.

I think if the Pats hire Schiano it would at least clarify what his and Lombardi's roles would be:

- Schiano: make sure Lombardi doesn't do anything dumb.
- Lombardi: make sure Schiano doesn't do anything dumb.

Works for me.

Alex Boone of the 49ers is 6'7. Evan Mathis, Carl Nicks, and Jahri Evans, Zane Beadles, Luis Vasquez, and Mike Iupati are all 6'5. I don't think height will prevent him from playing Guard.

I wasn't trying to imply that it would. But I suspect that for the Pats a 6' 5 1/2" guy with 34" arms who has played LT in the past would get as much of a look at tackle as at guard. Yankey's versatility is a big part of his appeal.
