Similar to the game where we pick one former Patriot to play today, here I'm asking this question. Let's say the Pats could just take one current player in the league and bring him to the Patriots, contract and all. Who would it be?

Some candidates, IMO:

- Richard Sherman, giving them a tremendous CB tandem of Sherman and Talib.

- JJ Watt, giving them an incredible bookend to Chandler Jones.

- Calvin Johnson, giving them the best WR in the game to work with Gronk, Amendola, Edelman, and Brady.

- Josh Gordon, giving them a similarly great outside threat but at a much lower cost.

- Jimmy Graham, giving them a dynamic TE combo.

Or an O-lineman or stud RB like AP.

Thoughts?

Pretty easily JJ Watt for me

Kam Chancellor

I know we need D...but i am going off the charts and picking Fitzgerald

Jimmy Graham, with him, Gronk and Brady, you don't even need other players on the field, just the 3 of them

Calvin Johnson

Somewhat realistic - are the Lions really looking to trade Suh?

I get the player, but I'm stuck with the bill, too?

Dontari Poe

Robert Quinn is a young player I have a lot of time for. He's an incredibly dynamic playmaker. That said, I'd still go with J.J. Watt. Frankly, the guy is ridiculous.

Earl Thomas or Gerald McCoy

Andrew Luck...

Some really tempting choices but ultimately i go with Calvin Johnson. As with Moss if you add him to this offense then it is pretty much unstoppable. I would love JJ Watt or Suh but i just think that Johnson would add more to the bottom line, and that's point differential.

If I were going for a defensive back it would be Patrick Peterson over Sherman every time.

Peyton Manning. He''d be a great backup to TB.

Adrian Peterson. Gronk and AP would be a hilarious, video game like combo.

The most dominate defensive player in the game.....

JJ Watt

put me down for JJ Watt.

Calvin Johnson and it is not even close.
