Kurt Warner : Rams Never Got Closure For Spygate

I don't think it's any coincidence that the coaches (like Cowher, Johnson, etc), who actually understand what gameplanning entails and are aware of the type of information that flows through a coaching staff, downplay spygate and say it's no big deal. Meanwhile, the players, who do nothing but get information spoon fed to them by the coaching staff with no idea where it comes from, consider this a scandal and injustice.

Let me guess, nobody ever said to him

"Kurt, how would the Patriots taping of your defensive signals have helped them stop your offense?"

and

"Have you read the Boston Herald's RETRACTION of the false allegation of taping a Rams practice? Here's a copy for you"

I just read the text , didnt listen to the interview since I dont want to listen to F &M. But Iam sure they never rebutted or offered any explanations. Our local media loves this .

well, to be honest, WTF does Warner even remember from that game? He spent the entire 2nd and 3rd quarters making muskrat love with the Captain and Tennile, after being knocked into the SEVERE CONCUSSION ZONE.

Personally I am happy that it continues to torment him. I have nothing but ill will towards those who continue to bring it up so, yeah, let it torment your soul Warner, you holier than thou piece of crap.

What makes Warner think that the Patriots were filming signals in 2001? Spygate occurred in 2007 and the tapes handed over were only inclusive of 2006 videos, is it Warner’s position that the Patriots had been filming team’s signals for 6+ years before it came out?

Spygate is dumb it is so overblown, the primary reason the Patriots were penalized as bad as they were was that Belichick lied to Goodell and it took place in Goodell’s first year of being commissioner so he wanted to send a message that he was the all-powerful one and nobody not even Bill Belichick was going to intimidate him. Not to mention Belichick and the Patriots took the fall but that doesn’t mean other teams weren’t doing the same exact thing, and just stopped when they saw what happen here.

Warner shouldn’t speak for the Rams either because it is more likely that he is the only one getting over Spygate and the rest of the organization is trying to get over their MVP QB not being able to beat a 6th round QB starting his 18 NFL game playing on a severely sprained ankle.

FYI Warner the Rams defensive signals weren’t the difference in the game, the interception you threw that TY Law returned 47 yards for a touchdown was... :bricks:

Yeah for all those defensive signals Pats sure moved the ball well on offense

10 points
267 total yards
53 of them on the final drive

Yep defensive signals won

I'm having a heard time getting closure on the idea that under BB & Brady we've been

9-0 in the playoffs against teams that we did not face in the regular season,

and

Just 9-8 in the playoffs against teams that we did face in the regular season, even though we supposedly always gained some extra-worldly wizardly knowledge from all sorts of imagined illegal activities that occurred in the course of the earlier regular season meetings.

This forum is the only place where Spygate lives on.

There is absolutely nothing new here. We've heard this exact same routine from this exact same player before. I really wish people in here didn't feel it necessary to start a whole new thread every time some sore loser who the Patriots beat at one time or another makes another comment.

you fail to make sense..the REASON why this thread was put up was because, obviously, someone somewhere else in the NATIONAL MEDIA SPOTLIGHT just brought it up again. You want to censor threads in response while allowing this continuing onslaught of idiocy on the Patriots and by association, Patriot fans? Spoken like a true fan...of another team.

Spygate lives on at every single football news site on the entire internet where there is a comments section and on every single fan forum that exists.

When ESPN, PFT,or anybody else posts a story even tangentially related to the Patriots, the vermin show up in droves saying "They taped practices. They haven't won anything without cheating. blah blah blah..."

I don't seek the comments of those idiots out, but when I see them there are two options, ignoring them or responding with facts. I usually choose the second option. It doesn't do any good, I guess, but it makes me feel better.

Since when are Felger and Mazz the "National Media Spotlight"?

I've been watching ESPN and NFLN all week long and haven't heard Spygate mentioned once - and then I came into this forum where it gets discussed 24/7/365.

Did you hear it mentioned during the week leading to the AFCCG? If the answer is "no", then you must have enjoyed your week on the beach on Mozambique in the Indian Ocean. If the Pats were in the SB, it'd be everywhere.

You have to be kidding me. Go to literally any other football site and you'll see it get mentioned. On PFT there was an article about John Fox not liking the microphones on the field, and right away in the comment section we had a "Belicheat loves microphones and cameras on the field". Never mind the actual Patriots topics.

The Rams and their fans believe the Herald walkthrough taping story is true. They're not alone. Mike Francesca, Lou Merloni and others in the local and national media refer to the event as fact ALL THE TIME. I don't listen to Vulgar and Spazz, but I'm guessing they didn't correct Warner at all if that's what he was referring to.

Whatever rock SB39 lives under, I think I want to crawl under it. Not having to hear about spygate? I'm there!
