I'm no fan of Sherman but I'd like to see Seattle win. Probably for a different reason than most.

Just think it would be nice to see the Seahawks and their fans get the Super Bowl title that they were royally screwed out of in SB 40.

I want this to happen to the Broncos 20 times in the SB

Oh look, in regards to the backlash for his outburst, Sherman is now hiding behind race.

GEE, NO ONE SAW THAT COMING.

I've seen this story before......

Hopefully history repeats itself Sunday.

Everyone keeps talking about Sherman, but Earl Thomas is the leader and best player in the Seahawks secondary. He might be the best safety in the league right now.

I think this game comes down to Lynch vs the Broncos run defense. If they can hold him to under 100 yards they win, if not Broncos march to a victory.

I am pulling very hard for Seattle, obviously. Unfortunately I see Denver winning this one mainly due to their defense of late. It's not exactly like the Colts turnaround in '06 since the Colts issue was always defending the run and Denver's never had trouble with that this season, but it does worry me how stout they have been lately. Not only are they playing well enough to give PM a great shot, they are playing well enough to win the games themselves with average offensive output.

I think Seattle's defense is good enough to slow down Manning for a bit, but I don't see their offense being able to capitalize until that Denver offense gets going. They are not a great team away from Seattle too. Just a bad feeling about this game, hope I am wrong.

Today's Onion Headline:

John Elway informs Peyton Manning that he'll take things from here.

If Manning doesn't win, I'll be shocked.

Rooting for Seattle.

I like Sherman. Trash talking doesn't bother me. He's extremely competitive and takes everything personal. Has a little bit of Rodney in him. Would love him wearing a Pats uniform.

Plus Seattle was robbed against Pittsburgh last time they were in the SB.

Lastly, f#ck Denver. I can't EVER root for Peyton. I respect him, but root for him?

This statement makes absolutely no sense.

If the Broncos can stop the run the Hawks won't be able to control the clock. Hawks need to force the Bronco's to play from behind, because they're not built to go offensive score vs offensive score with the Broncos

I am getting the Broncos and 17 points from a person who claims that the Seahawks defense is the best ever in the history of the NFL.

It is not nice to take advantage of those with cognitive disabilities, Miguel.

(If it's Richard Sherman Stanford grad, then I'm OK with that)

what the hell does that have to do with the statement you made? I'll post it again...

I think this game comes down to Lynch vs the Broncos run defense. If they can hold him to under 100 yards they win, if not Broncos march to a victory.

so, the way I was instructed in English, this statement says that if the Broncos hold Lynch under 100 yards, the Broncos win, but if they don't, the Broncos march to victory. Unless I'm breathing psychedelic air, what you are stating is the Broncos win..period...no matter what Lynch does.

3 keys for this game in why Seattle will win

Linebacker speed: No team has more speed than Seattle at linebacker and no team understands zone concepts and spacial awareness than Seattle. Every single one of these guys knows their responsibility and understands where they are on the field with respect to the routes being run in front and behind them. They are the glue for the best team defense in football. This will be a key in shutting down the Broncos crossing routes.

Ball Skills/physicality: Seattle doesn't miss jams and they always seem to find the ball in the air. Teams that beat Denver disrupted the timing and caused Peyton to turn the ball over. Seattles front 7 is faster than any in football and their secondary is more physical than anybody in football. Expect Peyton to take more than a few hits. Seattles secondary is also full of ball hawks. All these guys understand that when the ball is in the air and the receiver is looking for it, that they need to do the same. We left at least two interceptions on the field by not looking for the ball fast enough, don't expect Seattle to do the same.

Seattles Run game: When San Diego went into Denver and beat them, they rushed like their lives depended on it. Seattl plays every game the way San Diego went into Denver playing. Marshawn Lynch is the toughest back to bring down in football.

Long story short, Denver is at a disadvantage in the trenches on both sides of the ball, the team speed and physicality on defense will be too much for Peytons timing based offense and these receivers to sustain drives.

Bump for last minute voters who want to go on record.

very good post by Triple Champ

At the beginning of any football season, if you described the characteristics of a championship team come February, you would be describing Seattle not Denver. Therefore, I'm going with Seattle.

Re: Seahawks or Bronco's?

Peyton Manning will win and solidify himself as the GOAT

No, he'll lose and solidify himself as a goat.
