It's easy, and only takes a few moments. It's a 2.7M cap hit to cut him and I doubt he'll restucture given he has more leverage with that cap hit than the Pats. Worst part is Hernandez is 7.5M so that's 10M in money they could really use.
If Edelman leaves, I think that moves Amendola into his role as more of the quicker route/slot focus, so we'll need to go out and bring in some kind of reasonable FA wide receiver to replace that loss (or "those" losses, however you see it).

Yep, Wilfork, Mayo, Gronkowski, Vollmer didn't work out either, they need to release all of them and get players who don't get injured and play every down. i don't know what this garbage is with football players getting injured, there really is no reason for it, if they were only as tough and as athletic as the morons who trash them then they would be worth something.
If Edelman leaves were in big trouble because Amendola cannot get open consistently unless he has a favorable matchup. He cannot be a primary target in our offense; his big games this season always coincided with someone one else having an even better game allowing him to be a second thought.
Week 1 - Vereen & Edelman
Week 9 - Gronkowski & Dobson
Week 15 - Edelman
Never was there a game in which Amendola was able to take the field and be the primary focus of the defense or even one of the primary focuses and be successful.
He is a nice complementary player but not a lead dog.

This strategy has not worked out for the New England Patriots. The wide receiver position should not be considered an afterthought in the NFL Draft. It's about time the New England Patriots draft a wide receiver in the first round since the Brandon Tate's and Taylor Price's of the world have not worked out whatsoever.
Yeah those players who suffered season ending injuries absolutely should be compared to a player who was injured in week 1 of the season and given a 2-6 week recovery period. Talk about a desperate reach, WOW.
What don't you get about Amendola's injury? His groin muscle tore off. The recovery period is the period in which the pain subsides, not when the muscle reattaches.
That doesn't happen without surgery! He has to get surgery this offseason to regain use of the muscle.
The tweet about the complete tear doing what doctors would do anyway refers to the short term fix for the pain. Some people choose to leave it like that. A pro WR can't afford to.
I'm sum, he's not 100%.

This guy has injured every part of his body over his career. You might not like Brady6, but he's right on Amendola. Give it up and be thankful we have Julian Edelman

Suffice it to say, facts will not be allowed to undermine Brady6's jihad against Amendola.
Just so you know, being thoughtful and intelligent about this won't get you anywhere with the kneejerk haters. In their fantasy football minds Amendola should have been cut a month into the season and Calvin Johnson signed after trading Ridley, Bolden, and the patriots defense for him.
