Bronco CB Chris Harris Jr probably out for AFCCG

Hope he's okay but, not healthy enough to play. We need all the breaks we can get with our injury riddled team. Especially when Edelman, Amendola, and Collie are basically our only wide outs if Dobson and Thompkins can't go.

Got to have one of the kids in there, need some size & speed !!!

Really. If any Donkey fans start whining about injuries they need to have their heads caved in with a 2x4.

The good news (for you) is the Pats don't have any healthy outside threats. Your secondary will be under seige by undersized white guys (Edelman, Amendola and Collie).

Can you provide insight on the Broncos ability to stop the run? The stats don't really tell the story since most teams fal behind early.

What's the deal wh Julius Thomas? Yesterday he had a fumble, an offsides, lined up incorrectly forcing them to take a TO and a drop or two. Was this a one time thing?

Collie isn't undersized, just white. Dude doesn't make many catches but, when he does it's always a big time conversation. He'll probably only catch one pass but, it'll be for the 1st down to allow us to run out the clock to win the game.

Should i feel sorry for a team whose fans cheered when gronk went down?

One of Denver's top defensive players, Harris left the game in the third quarter with ankle and knee injuries and did not return. Although X-rays were negative, Harris will undergo an MRI exam on his knee Monday morning. It's almost certain Harris won't play in the AFC championship game next week against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.

Ripe for the picking says Vanderjerk.

Their defense is already bad enough. Not sure how big of a difference this makes. An offensive injury would be 10000x worse for them

That's true. Actually Edelman isn't all that short either, however they all are limited athletically.

Re: Collie. IF he sees the field, watch out for him on 4th and 6 with 2:00 remaining. But he always seems to be the last guy that gets on the field.

Confirmed Report: Torn ACL.

Anyone still think the Pats aren't going to be throwing a lot on Sunday?

Yeah saw that just now. Should they pass yes. Give up on the run. Hell no

Broncos have had their fair share of injuries as well... Maybe not to the extent of NE but have lost several key players to injury this season fwiw.

- Von Miller // Starting LB - IR
- Kevin Vickerson // Starting DT - IR
- Rahim Moore // Starting S - IR
- Ryan Clady // Starting T - IR
- Dan Koppen // Starting C - IR
- J.D. Walton // Starting C - IR (Later Cut)

Also have had several key players/starters out for extended stretches throughout the season (Ihenacho (S), Welker (WR), Bailey (CB), J. Thomas (TE), Wolfe (DT), Carter (S)...) Please do not get me wrong as I am not attempting to proclaim that the Denver's injuries are any worse than the Pat's. Merely pointing out the fact that it hasn't been all roses this season...

Hoping Harris's injury isn't as serious as is being reported but not sounding good. Either way, I think the game Sunday is going to be another for the ages! Hoping no more injuries for either team this weekend!

Every team has had their share of injuries. That's the way the NFL works these days. The Pats have had more than their fair share, but they certainly aren't alone. It's a shame, on both sides of the ball. The good teams don't cry about it, they just step up and adapt. We've had numerous guys do it this season, and from what I can tell Chris Clark and Manny Ramirez (who's been much better than either Koppen or Walton) have done it for you, among others.

What we wouldn't give to have Wilfork, Gronk and Vollmer, and what you wouldn't give to have Clady, Miller and Harris. And what a game it would be with both teams healthy. Tough break, and a shame. You just have to do the best with the cards you are dealt.

Well put mayoclinic and very true! The argument could be made that the loss of Wilfork alone is possibly as bad as all the players Denver has lost on the defensive side of the ball because his presence, leadership and the ability to single handedly impact a game. Best of luck this weekend!

Confirmed ACL tear per Lindsay Jones twitter via rotoworld:

Broncos CB Chris Harris has been diagnosed with a torn ACL in his left knee.
It's a serious blow to the Broncos' hopes of beating the Patriots Sunday. Harris was a top-9 corner in Pro Football Focus' grades this season, playing just about every snap as a starter outside and primary slot man while excelling in coverage. A defense already operating without Von Miller, Derek Wolfe, and Rahim Moore will now have to turn to declining fossils in Champ Bailey and Quentin Jammer. The Patriots have been winning with the run game lately, but they'd be wise to let Tom Brady spread his wings -- especially after they review film of Philip Rivers catching fire once Harris went down.

A friend texted me during the game when it was close imagine if the Colts still had Wayne. I texted back if somebody comes up with instant ACL fix and we can get Gronk back I'll gladly let them have Wayne. Good point came back.

Everybody has to deal with it.

Good that this news came early on Monday so Billy Football will have the entire week of practice to make any change on the game plan because of that.

Always thought Jammer was good. I guess not

He was decent ~7 years ago. Now he's just bad. More importantly, Harris was really good. Definitely a huge downgrade for the Broncos.
