It was the slap upside the head that McDaniels/Brady needed.

On a day where there no longer was a Rob Gronkowski, no Dobson, no Thompkins, MDaniels/Brady had a 55-22 pass-to-run ratio against a team with an excellent secondary but merely 18th against the run. Somehow, Hoomanawanui actually caught a TD early in the game. That last loss, depending on what happens later today, may have cost the Patriots home field for the AFCCG.

Obviously, the light went on in McDaniels/Brady's heads because the switch was thrown and the following 3 games.

So the Pass-Run ratio almost flipped from 55-22 in Miami to:

26-34 Baltimore
24-43 Buffalo
25-42 Indianapolis

Turning point? Perhaps.

All depends who we face next week, not sure about San Diego, but Denver has a stingy run defense. Going to have to pass to beat Denver. They won't be run over like the colts were.

The data certainly appear to support your theory. If true, it could be viewed as a silver lining, but had the light gone off a week earlier (they don't listen to us!) regardless of the outcomes today the AFC Championship would be in Gillette.

I also think that the turning point might be the maturation of the young players and BB's trust in Blount which eventually paid huge dividends.

Huh? Denver's D is terrible. San Diego's front 4 is better in fact and could cause problems.

Still REALLY wish we would've won that game.

We could be guaranteed to be playing at home next week

There's still a good chance however...

The Dolphins were 24th against the run.

Colts were 26th and Bills were 28th but the Ravens were 11th. The Broncos are 7th. Does anyone think (if we're without all 3 Thompkins, Boyce and Dobson) that the Pass-Run ratio should be any different than the last 3 games?

Dolphins (without the WRs and TEs listed above) should have been a run game.

I am still shaking my head that we lost that game.

Incidentally, my neck is quite tired.
