2014 Draft Prospect Thread

Really like him. Patriot scouts have reportedly been at Wyoming.

Underrated Wyoming QB leaving early for the NFL - CBSSports.com

Wyoming junior quarterback Brett Smith announced on Friday that he will forego his senior season and enter the 2014 NFL Draft. Although he isn't a well-known NFL prospect, he is an underrated passer who has the talent to be drafted among the top-100 picks

Looks like there will be tight ends galore this draft. It will be fun breaking them down. Rodgers,Amarro,Fiedorowicz,Ebron,Jenkins and Lynch.

Don't know if this has been posted yet..

Austin Seferian-Jenkins just told me today was his last game at UW.

Man, watching Ebron today, wow. He does it all, blocks, runs great routes and has decent hands. No way he will drop to the pats.

Someone on twitter said that a GM told him that Ebron was the offensive Clowney. I'd take Ebron ahead of Amaro just because his all round athleticism is so rare ( and that's a complete switcheroo on my part from before the season started).

Any question who the #1 QB in the draft is still? Get that Carr nonsense out of here!

Great ending to Teddy Bridgewater's college career.

any realistic chance of us having a shot at ebron? or is he heading top 10-15?

As of right now, probably not. When the actual draft comes around, who knows. It's still too early in the process, there is like 5 months left to the draft. There will be alot of risers and fallers when the shorts come on.

I like him too. You can tell he has a really weak arm by watching him make throws on the run, but, when his feet are set, his efficient mechanics that effectively use every bit of strength he has result in respectable velocity on his intermediate passes. Quick feet, deceptive escapability in the pocket, outstanding flexibility. Like a short Alex Smith, which is a steal in the third round.

Have you formed an opinion on Jimmy Garoppolo yet?

Saw him in the Towson game. I hope for his sake it was at least partially the fault of the snow, but his throw power was pretty terrible. Awesome mechanics, good escapability in the pocket, good decision maker, very accurate. He'd be a surefire pro bowler if his arm was stronger. He does have some room for muscle on his frame. Still, if his arm is always that weak, Chad Pennington is his ceiling, Matt Flynn without the fumbles is a likely middle ground.

At least two teams said this week they have UCLA's Brett Hundley rated as highest-rated QB in the 2014 draft if he decides to enter it.

Hmmmmmmmmm.....

CBS has him at #16 right now.

While I like his game, something about him makes me hesitate when thinking of pulling the trigger on drafting him.

There are quite a few players I like in this draft, but I am most intrigued by Florida State's wide receiver, Kelvin Benjamin. No one talks about him much, but he physically reminds me of Megatron.

Kidding? Maybe you mean PatsFans, which I can't speak to, but he's been getting a ton of Talk.

What a way to go out for Johnny Football!

This means nothing but a few days ago Nebraska RB Ameer Abdullah told Alfonzo Dennard via Twitter "bro tell the Pats to draft me! Lol" They are former college teammates and appear to be close friends. He is a junior I-back who was considered to not enter this year but who knows, I believe I "scouted" him Thanksgiving week
