From time to time Harbaugh will say things that seem silly. A couple of years ago he implied that the Pats' 3 SBs were not legit. In that instance I think he was just emotional after the loss and I don't think he really meant anything by it. BB and Harbaugh have a good respect for one another and it was BB who recommended Harbaugh to Biscotti as a HC candidate.

I don't want to give him too much credit but part of me wonders if he said this so his team, moral-wise wouldn't get too down on itself after its worst home loss since 1999.

1) The team is undisciplined and was doing many things other than worrying about a football game with the playoffs of the line,probably shopping at malls and wrapping gifts more than lifting weights and studying the playbook.

2) The players are lazy/too out of shape

3) Those that won a SB last year are playing complacent with less desire

4) No Reed and no Lewis means no leadership and no spark to play a meaningful game

Maybe. I do think that the Flacco knee issue had something to do with the loss but quite frankly, I think BAL is a mediocre team. It was a 20-7 game in the 4th qtr before the wheels came off so it's not like the Pats were routing them all game. BALs prior 4 wins were vs the Jets, Squellers, Vikes and Lions...4 marginal teams..

14 of those points had to do with believing that using a seldom used backup could rally your team from the jaws of defeat in about when you are down by 20 points in about 2 minutes, while you gave up 14 more points in about 50 seconds.
