year after year, same issues with this team. When they appear to have been corrected people get injured and were back at square one. Im starting to wonder if a 260lb+ linebacker has a place in todays NFL. Hightower just looks like he's not a good fit for this defense. Our Pass never wins immediately, another thing you can't have in this NFL. Coverage sacks are great every once in a while but late in games its not going to happen too often.

Hightower is an OLB pressed into MLB/ILB duty being dropped into coverage, and you're complaining because he's not turning his head? He's used to rushing toward the QB, not blocking passes.

1. Steve Gregory is always a step behind. He was in the wrong place multiple times today, and on the Clay 4th down conversion, Gregory blew it big time.

Gregory isn't always a step behind and you're wrong about him being in the wrong place numerous times today. And you're certainly wrong about the Clay 4th down conversion. Especially since Logan Ryan was being held on that play by the Miami WR on that side of the field. Not to mention that McCourty was out of position and Fletcher missed Clay as well. But, yeah, blame the guy who was able to get Clay down because Clay had gotten extra yards already and others had screwed the pooch.

2. We need to root bigtime for the Ravens to beat Detroit. That will keep the Ravens playing the last week against Cincy. If Baltimore loses the next 2, they are done. And it might mean Cincy plays a down team in their last game.

Except that Baltimore always plays hard. They never give up even when they are out of the play-offs.

Injuries are a part of football but the pats have faced an insurmountable amount of them. In the end of they get ousted quickly in the playoffa well have to look at tthat as a large reason why

Agree. It could have been uglier out there today. The fact they were in it until the end is a testament to how mentally tough this team is.

This is the biggest bunch of BS I've heard. Hightower was actually touted as being pretty decent against the Pass coming out of college. Not because of his pass rushing skills, but because of his coverage skills.

Fact is that Hightower has been burned nearly every time he's been in coverage. At some point, the Pats aren't going to put him out there because he IS a liability.

Let's face it, we are so undermanned right now that it's pointless to expect anything more than a one and done or two and done as the third seed in the playoffs. Let's focus on next season, a good draft and hopefully some noise in FA and hopefully a healthy season next year.
