Better than who exactly? Because the way I see it Bequette, Buchanon, and Carter can ALL be upgraded potentially. Having this guy compete for a developmental bottom of the roster spot (Bequette, Buchanon) doesn't exclude the Patriots from signing a strong veteran to upgrade the more prominent spots on the depth chart (Carter).

You're thinking of Eric Moore. He joined the Pats from the Florida Tuskers of the UFL.

I miss Eric Moore. Looked like a solid player. Never quite fit in with our defense though. He always made the mistake of bringing the QB down instead of letting him get away at the last second.

Yeah. I wish we had more players who have shown nothing in their careers. That would definitely improve the defense.
