Brady for MVP?

It is comical. The less is more crew is in full form.

Hey borges, you still having dinner with the Bledsoe's?

Just wondering.............

Re: Brady should be the MVP

Because he is more valuable to his team than Manning is to that ridiculous offense. The Eagles were in a tailspin before he took the helm and haven't lost since. His TD/INT ratio is 20/1.

and how do you know that? who knows if denver goes 4-12 with osweiler? and have you thought about why their offense is ridiculous? who's throwing the ball? so brady shouldn't win an mvp in 07 because our offense was ridiculous? just watch the game man. peyton has done some sick stuff as an old guy with noodle arms. yes we are his kryptonite. we have his number. brady > peyton. he got embarrassed in the biggest game. but still he demolishes other defenses like it's nothing. dude destroyed ravens. KC twice. Foles was horrible against boys too.

and sorry, you can't win an mvp when you miss so many games. it doesn't work that way especially when peyton is putting up 07 brady like season.

and 4500 yds 45tds/9ints with 3 games to go. 20/1 is nothing compared to what peyton has done. oh by the way, manning was 20/0int ratio early in the season

As much as I dislike Manning he is the MVP this year. Bronco's have the best record in the AFC and he is gonna break the TD record. He's the regular season MVP, but let's just hope the Super Bowl MVP goes to Brady.

Re: Brady should be the MVP

When did the NFL get away from giving it to someone with huge numbers? It's been that way for at least 10 years and counting.

2003 (co-MVP) - 29 TD/10 int (Jamal Lewis - 2066 yards/5.3 per carry/14 TD
2008 - 27 TD/12 int (Philip Rivers - 34/11)
2009 - 33 TD/16 int (Favre - 33/7; Rivers - 28/9)

So, no. Someone has to have a mind-boggling season just to keep the voters from defaulting to Manning (in Lewis' case, not even then).

Russell Wilson probably deserves the vote.

Manning is doing that with the greatest group of offensive weapons the game has ever seen. Did you even see the state the Eagles were in before Foles stepped in?

Manning should most certainly not be the MVP.

He also will be. He's won the award previously when he didn't remotely deserve it. This time, he actually belongs in the discussion. So they'll give it to him again.

The WWnFl has gotten ridiculous with him and the MVP. It's never going to stop. I'm pretty sure he'll get one after he retires.

You aren't far off, there were people saying he should have gotten it when the Colts sucked for Luck. Some people, including some posters here, put far more on stats than they do winning. Unfortunately some have the inability to make a distinction between fantasy football and the real thing.

I guarantee that if the roles were reversed Manning would be getting the nod as the best QB in the game.

And if the roles were reversed you would still say Manning. Most transparent roll ever.

Once again you choose to target my posts even after getting warned by the mods to cut the crap.
Here's a thought...try taking the rose covered glasses off every once and awhile and see the world from an objective point of view.
Here is my view:
Manning vs Brady
Passing yds......Manning +837 yds
Comp %..........Manning +7.1%
QB Rating........Manning +26.2
TDs.................Manning +24
INTs................Even
Wins................Manning +1
Sacked.............Brady +21.........there you go....TB wins a category
Head to Head.....Brady +1

A couple more points of interest that deflates the TB MVP catcalls:
Patriots have scored 0 points in 7 1st qtrs this year (3 of the last 4).
Patriots have scored a total of 10 points total in the 1st half of the last 4 games combined....now back when NE would get big leads in first halves then cough up leads in the 2nd half...usually to Manning....the consensus was NE would revert into the bend but don't break mode and all those points/yards were attributed to defensive scheme.....Can you find it within yourself to credit NEs recent surge in 2nd half offense to teams playing back on their heals. Seems to me Brady is performing feats of magic only when teams mistakenly take the foot off the gas.
My point with these added bits of stats and context is....Brady and the offense have been dreadfully inconsistent all season...even with the Gronk.....far from MVP caliber. IMO, Manning has been amazingly consistent...even making HIS offense look easy. Maybe the problem here is that the NE locals take offense to how easy the OLD MAN is making this ridiculously difficult sport look. Admire the guy and stop being so cynical. If it was easy, every more athletic/stronger armed QB would be flashing similar numbers. Credit the guy's football mind.
And....Sorry I don't fit in the mold of what you think a "real" Patriots fan should be.....I just can't in my heart dismiss realty from homerdumb. You have no problem though. Good for you. Someone has to buy all the gear.
Now go stalk someone else for awhile.......maybe someone that dismisses facts as easily as you do.

Manning, Wilson, and Brees certainly, and arguably Calvin Johnson, McCoy, and Newton are all as or more deserving than Brady this year.

There were even some mediots who thought he should be in the discussion when he missed 2011. Hell some even probably seriously thought he should have won it.

Skip Bayless ?@RealSkipBayless 17h
Tom Brady, who somehow has those receivers and that defense at 10-3, is NFL MVP at this point.

Albert Breer ?@AlbertBreer 19h
To me, and this is just my opinion, Tom Brady is now in the lead for league MVP.

There is a Brady MVP contingency. It's not just super homer pats fans. Type "Tom Brady MVP" on twitter and see all the NFL fans vouch for it. Ex. Look at Brady's garbage team around him, etc

IF The Chargers can beat the Broncos thursday night (no Welker), IMO, you throw the stats out the window:

13-3 Patriots #1 Seed
13-3 Broncos #2 Seed

One QB racked up stats against the NFC east and the AFC West with four probowl WRs/TE. Another player won the head to head matchup, faced one of the hardest defensive schedules in the league, and earned the #1 seed for his team with rookie WRs and James Develin.

Brady will have a legit MVP case if we win out and Denver loses Thursday IMO.

I try to block that out. People equated the Colts tanking for Andrew Luck as a sign that Manning should be MVP ... then they shut up when Luck's rookie record was better than Manning's last year with the Colts.

Manning's great, no doubt (in the regular season, at least). And I have no problem giving him MVP this year. But, in a sensible world with no built-in pro-Manning bias, it would only be his second award.

I have never had a mod say a word about you to me, if they did they would tell both of us to put each other on ignore and I would do so. As far as targeting your posts go it is not so much about you as it is those posters who only post to try and piss off Patriot fans. I have no problem with anyone who thinks critically, but I have big problem with people who only focus on the negative and never say anything about the positive, and no poster does that more than you do, so that is really your issue, not mine, as it is pretty much mind boggling that anyone could only see the negative about the most successful franchise in football over the last 15 years, and possibly the most successful of all time. The only reason anyone would only focus on the negative is if they are trolling, because there is way to much positive about this team for anyone who is a fan of it to only see the negative. So no, i don't believe you are a Patriots fan, and yes, I do believe you are a troll, and so do most of the posters on this site from everything I can tell. I am far from alone in calling you out for trolling this site, and most who have are long time posters who are very familiar with you and your posts.

You make a great case for your boy Peyton to be the FANTASY FOOTBALL MVP, however I am talking about the NFL MVP, and comparing Brady's stats to Manning's when Brady lost all of his offensive weapons and had to rely on players with no experience makes any statistical comparison moot. What matters most is wins and losses, and if both win out with Brady winning the head to head then imo what Brady has done with his team is more impressive than what Manning has done with Denver. And the truth is that most of those touting Manning gave him the award after the first game of the season and haven't allowed what has happened this season to alter their view in any way. Brady is the better QB and has proven it again this year. Manning is a great passer but that's it, he is not and never will be the leader Brady is.

Russell Wlson
Aaron Rodgers
Tom Brady
Nick Foles
Cam Newton/Luke Kuechly
Drew Brees
Calvin Johnson
Peyton Manning
Tony Romo
Jamaal Charles

There are plenty of legitimate MVP candidates. Hell, if the Chargers were to win out, you could put Rivers into the mix, as well.

The only mvp i care about is the superbowl mvp.

The Broncos defense is terrible and without Manning they might be a .500 team. Yes, he has better wide receivers than Brady, but that doesn't tell the whole story. I also think that the Broncos are likely to fail in the playoffs - this Broncos team and Patriots team are similar to the Colts and Patriots of a decade ago, it feels like.

OP is delusional, the award is based on stats and Peyton with 40 TDs maybe 48 or so is never losing an MVP race, if it was the other way around nobody would say Peyton deserves it over Tom.
