Brady for MVP?

Re: Brady should be the MVP

Of course he should be, but us saying it is kind of like his mother saying it. Not sure it carries much weight...

Re: Brady should be the MVP

Manning will get it. His team, at the moment, has a better record and he has better numbers. There's just a large lack of candidates this year. Maybe Russell Wilson has a chance but he needs to do some dynamic stuff in these last three weeks to have a chance.

Re: Brady should be the MVP

Hey, it's just nice to see that the narrative has shifted back to "big numbers = MVP." We got away from that for a year or two, coincidentally at the same time that Manning wasn't putting up huge numbers.

When did the NFL get away from giving it to someone with huge numbers? It's been that way for at least 10 years and counting.

Re: Brady should be the MVP

No.

you can't ignore 11-2 record and crazy stats manning has put up. the fact that he is old and has a noodle arm is still mind boggling to me.

Brady is the GOAT, and Brady > Manning any friggin day, but let him his regular season mvp. i don't even give a crap.

brady has eyes on the real prize.

there is still a chance. let's say broncos somehow lose 2 games in next 3. (chance of this happening is probably like 5%). and manning doesn't break the record and ends the season with 12-4.

and brady goes crazy and throws 10tds 0ints in next 3 games in a dominant fashion without Gronk.

could brady share the mvp? i think it's possible.

Re: Brady should be the MVP

It ain't gonna happen. It's Manning's award to lose. PERIOD. The league doesn't see it the way we do.

I pretty much agree, last week on NFLN the debate was between Manning and Wilson, however iof they win out then I do think there will be a debate over Manning VS Brady and the records with Brady beating Manning should give him award. That obviously doesn't mean he will get it, but he should. Hopefully it will spark a real, debate about constitutes a real MVP, and that should not be the stats. What Brady has been able to do with this team is far more impressive than Manning's stats imo.

Re: Brady should be the MVP

Nick Foles should win if he keeps this up, but Manning will. It's a foregone conclusion.

this is nonsense

Manning is having one of, if not the greatest QB season of all time

I'd prefer he didn't pass Brady, but you're delusional if you honestly think it's anyone but him

and exactly how nick foles should win over manning?

Yeah, this is it.

Re: Brady should be the MVP

Because he is more valuable to his team than Manning is to that ridiculous offense. The Eagles were in a tailspin before he took the helm and haven't lost since. His TD/INT ratio is 20/1.

There's two criteria for getting MVP.

1. Have the best stats in the league

or if you don't have the first

2. Be named Peyton Manning

Brady doesn't fit either criteria.

It is the MVP of the NFL, not the fantasy football MVP. IF Brady goes 13-3 with this Patriots team with the win head to head he should get it.

Belichick is right "stats are for losers."

Re: Brady should be the MVP

Because he has the highest QB rating in the NFL, he had the highest QB rating in NFL history for 1 calendar month, the Eagles are 5-0 since he became the starter, he's averaging 400 yards and 4 TDs per game. There are plenty of reasons, if he can keep up this level of production until the end of the season.

I stopped giving credence to this award long ago regardless of who wins it. Its a team game. Every team has a best player who is valuable to HIS team. He cant be the most valuable across the league. Makes no sense. Its a start award. There is a reason regular season MVP's havent won a SB since 1999.

It is comical. The less is more crew is in full form.

And if the roles were reversed you would still say Manning. Most transparent roll ever.
